love the hotel, we have stayed there at least 12 times before & have upgeaded room 3 times. we were not able to upgrade this time but at least expected a better room because we were repeat visitors, our room was noisy & location was horrible. For future visits will look into places that cater to repeat customers & take care of them

Great hotel on quiet end of Duval Street.

Pros: Location, Cleanliness, Southernmost Café, amenities, friendliness of staff ( except Cindy).
Cons: Notification of nightly resort fee prior to booking trip/arrival.
Location: Close to Duval street. Close to Fury Adventure departure points. Within walking distance of most restaurants and attractions. Close to airport.
My wife and I have been to Key West multiple times and absolutely love it. The Southernmost Hotel is clean, has great facilities with nice rooms close to the Southernmost Café and Duval street. Most of the hotel staff is very friendly and willing to help in any way that they can except for a front desk staff member Cindy. She wasn't very friendly and it seemed like we were an inconvenience checking in. We had arrived before check in time of 4pm. She had taken my phone number and said that she would call us if the room was ready early. We returned before 4pm after walking Duval street for a bit and Cindy was gone. We had asked new front desk staff member Serge if our room was ready and said yes and took care of everything. He was very friendly and helpful. We had a slow draining sink and toilet....Lou at the front desk was extremely helpful....called maintenance and everything was fixed within the hour. We enjoyed our entire stay and will certainly return on a future vacation.

What We Expected

Pros: Far enough out of the way, but still "technically" on the main street (Duval)
4 days no problems. Room was clean. Location was as expected. Staff helped whenever asked. Couldn't ask for anything more.

Booked this resort style hotel for just one night. There is so much in the way of activities we really were unable to take advantage of all the hotel's amenities! This place is huge with beach access, two pools and a variety of lounging areas including hammocks!! Best part is that it is on the quiet side of Duval - and walking distance to almost everything!

Pros: beach and restaurant
Went to Key West with my cousin for 3 nights in November. I have stayed at this hotel several times and as always it was very neat, clean, and the staff is very accommodating.

The female manager who runs the bed and breakfast was very rude. My wife and I stumbled upon the facility and just wanted to take photographs of the Courtyard. She embarrassed my wife and i she treated us like we were theives. To add insult to injury it was in the presence of other guest. We were on our ten year anniversary. It ruined our stay. Add further insult pulled back the sheets and discover 7 circular stains on the mattress liner.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of our property. I am sorry to read that your anniversary stay was anything but exceptional. Upon researching your reservation I did see that you were a guest at our Southernmost Hotel in the USA and not a guest at our La Mer Hotel and Dewey House. I apologize if there was any miscommunication concerning the grounds of the guest houses. While it is permissible for guests not staying at the houses to take photos of the lovely grounds and beautiful buildings, the facility itself is private and the veranda where breakfast and tea are served is reserved for those guests with reservations at the houses only. Again, I apologize if there was any misunderstanding and I will be sure to share your comments with our management team. I would also like to thank you for alerting us to the condition of the mattress liner in you room and I will be sure the Director of Housekeeping and her staff is alerted to correct this. Thank you again for taking the time to write your review.

Room temperature uncomfortable

May need to update air system because even after we mentioned to staff it was uncomfortable, they adjusted something but several hours later still uncomfortable.
