“Like it but didn't get the room we thought from picture shown on Expedia !”

Hotel was fine. But I would call hotel next time to see if advertisement on web was really what I get. Before I'd bid again

“Just a great place”

The location is at the "quiet end" of Duval Street. The facility is large with a variety or rooms, 3 pools and 3 great pool bars. The staff was friendly and more than willing to help. I felt relaxed after spending a day or night up the other end with the craziness, it was nice to get back and crash. The pools and the pool bars are open till 11 PM which was perfect. Nothing like swimming under the stars. The beach was the only drwaback. It is small and a lot of seaweed coming in, but I was told not to expect the perfect beaches in Key West. The pools made up for it. I will be back and I will be staying here again.

Area recommendations

Duval Street of course, but do the tours if you are a first time visitor. 4 days was not long enough. Check out Mallory Square at sunset for the street performers.

“Will Go Back!”

This is a great hotel. It's not a new or fancy hotel but it fits the Key West area nicely. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They serve a great breakfast at the Beach Cafe that you can't beat with a stick........And all this at a very reasonable price.

“Small room”

This was a nice hotel. However, when I first checked in they gave me a smelling, musty room on the first floor. They recently had a lot of rain in the area and I think they were giving me a room that had water/flood damage. After I expressed my concern they gave me another room that was very small then what I had purchased. They did give me 2 drink vouchers for the difference which didn't come close to the difference from what I paid and they had limited use. The staff was very friendly and nice. The rooms were small and only a limited number of them had patios.

“Love this hotel on Key West....Great location to everything!”

we've stayed at this hotel before and couldn't wait to come back. upon are arrival we realized that they had remodeled the bar area around the pool. it is great. the location is close to everything happening in Key West. We'll be back to the Southern Most for sure. thank you.

“Great Staff, Lovely Stay”

We didn’t arrive at the hotel until after 10pm but was warmly greeted by name as soon as we walked through the door. After such a long day travelling from London, UK to Key West that made us feel very welcomed and special. [I had emailed ahead to advise them that we wouldn’t arrive until 10ish]. Pat who checked us in was very helpful and friendly and made sure we had our breakfast voucher. If you are staying at the Southernmost print off the voucher for $20 off breakfast at the Southernmost Café (a number of web sites do it) We had booked a deluxe room and requested a room on the 2nd floor which was allocated to us. The room was very big, nicely decorated with a microwave, fridge and coffee machine. We also had an arm chair with foot rest and a small table and 2 chairs. The bathroom was big and a huge shower (but no tub). The hotel is at the quieter end of Duval which suited us. CVS is nearby for toiletries and basic groceries/drinks. The Southernmost Beach Café was great – we had breakfast there the first morning – the view and the lovely breeze made the jet lag all worthwhile! Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends.

“Southernmost Hotel”

Southernmost Hotel, though the room showed a few signs of wear, was clean, comfortable, conveniently located, & the staff was very friendly & helpful. The pool area was nice & relaxing. They had 2 pools on site. I'm glad we didn't pay extra to stay at their hotel on the beach, which was minimal in size & people were wading through feet of seaweed to get to a "clean" spot in the water. Southernmost Hotel is near the Southernmost Point & across the street form KW Butterfly & Nature Conservatory (a must see!). The food in KW was an amazing surprise. Some must eats include The Banana Cafe, Le Creperie, Blue Heaven, Abbadanza, Le Meson de Pepe, Louie's Backyard, and you must make the trek out of the tourist zone to get a Cuban mix at Five Brothers! Yum!

Area recommendations

Ft. Zachary Taylor State Park is pretty, has a nice beach (but don't expect to swim without water shoes; major rocks!), & nature trails. Mallory Square area is lively but touristy. Go to Five Brothers Cuban on Southard! It's a tiny corner store that serves an amazing Cuban mix sandwich. Hemingway House is worth a visit (you can get tickets a little cheaper at one of the information booths around the corner). Make sure to visit the KW Butterfly Conservatory. Besides getting to see the live butterflies, there is also a butterfly art gallery of sorts beside their gift shop area. Just beautiful!

“would go back”

very nice hotel had a little problem at first with checking in the hotel.the hotel said that we could not get into the room until 3pm and we where not told about that by expedia. the cleaning of the room was a problem but once i said something to the cleaning lady it was fixed without any problem's. would go back. ; )
