“Old style motel”

This is a very clean motel on the main highway from Miami to Key West. We used it as a base to explore the surrounding area and it was perfect for that. No frills and is clearly not new but it has all the basics and the reception staff were extremely friendly helpful. The only sownsdie was a fairly noisy air conditioning unit

“Great Deal for a night”

The clerk greeted me by name when I walked in and had everything ready for us. Different clerk same greeting and helpfulness when we checked out. It was a clean and safe room, nice area, and cute, too. I was very pleased with this hotel.

Area recommendations
Turtle Hospital and Dolphin Research Center are a must if you are here. They are great values and amazing experiences. The Wooden Spoon restaurant is a hole in the wall with good food and cheap prices.

“Nice motel halfway key west”

Fantasy fest so no rooms available in Key West. Marathon is an ok option if you don't mind to drive an hour. Sea Dell is a nice spot, big clean room, nice staff and huge new TV. Small pool but nice & free sombrero beach is nearby.

“Glad we took a chance”

Don't hesitate to stay here. I was looking for somewhere economical and simple to stay for one night. And I found it - would stay here again and spend more time. Clean, friendly,nice poolo, good value for the money. Make sure you hit the Hurricane Grill for another good value - a few doors down.

“Will return!”

Hotel was the cleanest we've ever stayed in. Cute, Quaint and right across the street from a great little diner. As frequent travelers to the keys the Sea Dell Is affordable and perfect for families and traveling couples. We will absolutely return to the Sea Dell.

“We were very impressed with this hotel.”

Older hotel but it is freshly painted, well kept and sparkling clean. The pool was warm and lots of flowers around giving us a feling of home. It was in a very convenient location for us, since it was in Marathon, right in the middle between Miami and Key West. The staff friedly and so prompt. The king bed was so confortable and we walked to the park next to us with a little trip to the Sombrero Beach. Across the hotel we had breakfast everyday and it was so delicious. We can't wait to go back...

Area recommendations
We reccomend all the keys because each key have it own beauty. Parks were everywhere and the Sombrero Beach was so quaint.... We loved...

“It's OK If you're just passing through.”

Quaint little place to rest your head for the night. The bathroom has no ventilation and makes it very uncomfortable since it's very close quarters,and we're slender. I hate to see a heavy person trying to move around in it. The room is on the small side for the price. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Area recommendations
I'm a boater and fisherman of which there is plenty to enjoy anywhere in the Keys. Sombrero Key is a fantastic reef to explore if you're into snorkeling and scuba diving.

“Would stay again~”

The Sea Dell is an older motel in decent shape with a friendly staff and a couple "old building" quirks. Upon heading to our room after check-in, our toilet wouldn't flush so they moved us to another room immediately (slightly larger). The shower head is a little low (wasn't too bad for us) and the hot water goes in and out a little. We were close to a couple of beaches, several restaurants and grocery stores. Key West was about an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes away but not a bad drive at all. I would recommend the Sea Dell for its location and courteous staff to someone who is not wanting to spend lots of time at their hotel during their stay. We would stay again in the future~

“Just fine.”

It's hard to find an affordable hotel in the keys and this one was not expensive but clean and comfortable. Nothing superlative, but then you will pay for a view, balcony etc. It was just perfect for us.
