Perfect!

The Postcard Inn was the perfect place for our short getaway. We upgraded to an oceanfront room and it was awesome! If you expect everything to be perfect while on vacation anywhere, you're going to be highly disappointed. No, the bathtub paint wasn't perfect but who cares?! You're on vacation, in paradise. The staff was friendly everywhere and we were even allowed to check in extremely early due to our extremely early flight. That's not something places have to do. We were also able to still access everything after checking out. Overall it was the best vacation ever!! We're already talking about coming back next year :)

Keep going better hotels further down the road.

Was a last minute booking and saw the photos on expedia which looked great but the room was small, old and not well kept up. I would not stay here again.

Bad nothing was the way it looks in the pictures. Room was dirty beach was not what I expected. The pool drain was full of leaves and pieces of wood. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody.

The hotel description is misleading It looks like a nice hotel boutique and in reality is quite modest...overpriced. Service is inexistent What I liked is the dog friendliness

Nice hotel. Needs updating.

Posted 03-May-2015
We loved Postcard. We went for our anniversary weekend. We were overall pleased with the experience. The resort needs to be updated though. The pool area is falling apart especially the bar. It desperately needs to be cleaned. The rooms are comfortable but the bathrooms and doors need to be remodeled. Great little beach and hammocks! Great staff!

Nice resort on the beach

Posted 28-Apr-2015
Pros: The Beach
Cons: In room amenities (places to hang stuff up, more furniture, shelves or storage in bathroom) and an exhaust fan in the bathroom.
Location: Great Location to stay at the resort the whole time or lots to do in the area.
Myself and 2 teenagers stayed for 4 nights. We will definitely be back and request a larger room. Our room was pretty basic, but very clean with good housekeeping. Activities, pools, restaurants, bars, shops and beautiful beach all on site. You don't need to leave the resort at all. If you do want to explore more of the keys, its in a nice location to head north or south.

Nice hotel with lots of amenities & close to ocean

Posted 27-Apr-2015
Nice clean hotel with comfortable beds. Lots to do at the resorts. Restaurants need to stay open later, need snack machines on site. Pool bar was less than desirable & employee's not very friendly. Closes way to early!

10 year anniversary trip

Posted 21-Apr-2015
Staff was friendly and attentive. Rum Runners was closed and needs to be updated. Tiki bar was open and fun, although don't expect cheap drinks and food. Beach accessible bathrooms were clean and updated. Our room was updated and looked like website. Building next to us was being rehabbed so expect more rooms updated in future. Maybe Rum Runners is next? Plenty of music. I'm sure early to bed people might not love that. Lots of great beach space and decent swimming area. Nice pool right on ocean with swim up bar. Expect a wedding on weekends which looks like they do a great job for. Beach kept clean. Overall very positive experience. Would encourage folks to stay here and eat at great local eateries.

Perfect "Keys Vibe", right on the Water

Posted 20-Apr-2015
Pros: The staff, especially Oliver at the front desk and Jeane at the Raw Bar. Location was great both for relaxing at the hotel, and for venturing out.
Cons: Pool, beach chairs, paint job.
Location: Definitely go for a drive south towards Key West. Plenty of options for stores, food, etc around. Recommend having a car.
For the price and location you really can't go wrong. I highly recommend the Oceanfront Lanai rooms in the 100 building. You can sit on your deck and put your feet right in the sand. We traveled with our 4 month old, so being able to put him to bed at night, and listen to the music from the Tiki Bar, while watching the sunset and drinking some wine made us feel like we were actually on a vacation :). Granted we are from NYC, so a little noise doesn't bother us. I'd say the noise level from the bar to the room was about a 5 out of 10, which might be unbearable to others, but we slept like babies. Resort needs some updating, and apparently it's getting it from new ownership, but nothing was inherently wrong or bad about what was there. Heard from some other guests that their bathrooms were tiny and dirty, but ours was big and clean. Not new, but clean. It's not the Viceroy, it's a huge step up over a lot of the motel style resorts in the area though, many painted neon colors and pepto bismol pink. If they update the bathroom, pools, beach chairs, and through a paint job on the place, it'd be perfect. Of course the rates will probably go up too, so there's always a trade off. We needed a break from the NYC winter, didn't want to spend a lot since we have a new baby, and this place fit the bill perfectly for our new family. To be frank, we are used to luxury, but found this place charming and didn't mind the cosmetic flaws since the staff, location, and price were so great.

Not done renovating

This will probably be a grey good place to stay when they're done renovating. However they have some work to do on their staff. Not worth the price
