Not done renovating

Posted 16-Apr-2015
This will probably be a grey good place to stay when they're done renovating. However they have some work to do on their staff. Not worth the price

Cons: The bathrooms need to be upgraded! Service in the bars/restaurants was mediocre.
Check in was a cold greeting. The rooms are small and the bathrooms have not been upgraded. The beach is nice.

Great location but lacking otherwise

Posted 13-Apr-2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Bathroom renovations and housekeeping on a daily basis
Location: Great location. Lots of great restaurants a short distance both north and south.
First let me say I do believe the hotel staff is trying. Randy in water sports was AWESOME and tried to include everyone in the activities. He remembered my son's name after day one and was extremely friendly. The bar and restaurant staff were friendly as well. I realized this wasn't going to be a 4 or 5 star resort when we booked. However, as many have commented before, the bathrooms are disgusting. Housekeeping was a major disappointment. We didn't receive housekeeping services on 3 of the 7 days we were there. On a plus, we were credited $100 without asking because the front desk staff recognized this inconvenience. It was a kind gesture but I would have preferred housekeeping as expected. All in all it was a nice week. The location is great. There are lots of great restaurant a short distance north and south. Just realize when you book that it's not a plush hotel, but it's in the Keys and has a lot of character.

Nice view of the parking

Pros: The marina area and tiki bar were nice, and we enjoyed free use of the kayaks and paddle boards.
Cons: The room we were assigned should have been condemned.
By booking through Expedia, our only room choice was a standard queen, code word for broom closet. Almost all of the rooms in the resort had a balcony, we had a small window. The bed had only a top sheet and blanket all tucked into the mattress leaving the box spring complete exposed. There was no bedspread whatsoever. There was no clock in the room and the room safe was completely unusable. Anytime we left the room, we had to lock our valuables in the car. Outside our room was an electrical panel that emitted a very loud beep every 10 seconds during our entire stay, our complaints were ignored.

Nice hotel but could be awesome with some upgrades

Posted 04-Apr-2015
This resort offered many different activities right on their property. There was kayaking, pedal boats, paddle boards, water trampoline and a pool. you could pay for jet ski and jet boat rentals or tours. The marina is right next to resort. the staff were polite and friendly and helpful. The rooms were the problem. The dresser only had 3 drawers, and the bathroom had a pedastel sink leaving no where to put your belongings (toothbrush, soap, etc....). With some upgrading and fixing up this resort could be a five star hotel!!

Great resort to visit. We had a problem with our room, they acted quickly and we're upgraded to a ocean view suite. The Resort is immaculate, plenty to do and see.

Great outdoor facilities

Posted 30-Mar-2015
My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night in March. Our room wasn't ready until almost 5PM to check in, which was no big deal and we sat outside and had a drink. The bars, beach, and pool area are very nice. We were on the top floor of our building, and the birds above us were climbing all over the roof all night/morning, which was VERY noisy. My other big complaint was disorganization with the pool/beach staff. We used the beach and pool on both days, and they were out of towels at every visit. We luckily brought our own beach towels for our week in the keys, but it was still frustrating as this was part of the "resort fee". Also, there was a lot of confusion with the kayaks and paddle boards. Instead of a sign up process, guests have somewhat of a free for all to use the beach equipment. This created issues, we had to wait for over an hour for a paddle board to be available both days. The staff seemed very disorganized and frazzled during this process. Due to the location and the overall room cleanliness, I still may stay here again, but this hotel could use a little bit more organization.

Quick one night stay but nice place

It was clean and the room was very nice and comfortable. Plenty of amenities and would stay longer next time.
