“NICE LOCATION”

2 BEDROOM SUITES APPEAR TO ALL BE ON THE 2ND AND 3RD FLOORS WITH ENTRANCES AWAY FROM POOL AREAS IF YOU CHOOSE GARDEN LOCATION. NO SINK TO FILL COFFEE POT, ETC. HAD TO DO ALL OF THIS IN THE BATHROOM. VERY SMALL FRIDGE....BRING YOUR OWN IF YOU WANT TO KEEP FOOD COLD. NICE COMFORTABLE FURNITURE AND BEDS. BATHS WELL SUPPLIED.

Getting around

WE TOOK A TAXI DOWN AND BACK (ABOUT 20 WITH TIP FOR 4 ADULTS EACH WAY). WE WERE WARNED ABOUT LIMITED PARKING AND DIFFICULTY NAVIGATING AFTER DARK.

“very comfortable for a group of four”

very nice with balconys off the bedroom and living area. Beautiful tropical foliage surrounding the entire hotel. . Never had breakfast or lunch because we found it very expensive. The queen bed was very uncomfortable and not enough room for two. The first night the alarm went off at 1.30 am waking us up with a start. A faulty alarm (batteries low). Didn,t get a very good nights sleep. Also the hotel doesn,t have a smoking area. If you smoke! Hotel fees are high per night plus the cost of the room. There is no sink in the fridge area so you have to wash any dishes in your bedroom bath. A lot of inconvieiences. Two many stairs to climb in the two bedroom cottages.

“Way overpriced for what it was.”

“Thanksgiving week”

lovely hotel, quite quaint...............i did think it was closer to Duval Street when I booked it, but that was my mistake.......actually worked out better. THe hotel is quiet, very relaxing. There is inadequate parkingat the hotel, but the lot borders a Walgreens so you park there for overflow, sometimes that left us closer to the room.....Nice place, would go back in a minute!

“Nice Hotel, but probably not the ideal Key West spot for everyone.”

Good: WiFi, 4 warm pools with comfortable chairs to lay back in near the pool and despite the trees plenty of area to get sun light near the pools :) Places to eat across the road. Comfy bed. Bad: No major problem with this, but found some slow bugs in the room. Hotel bar not open too late. No actual beach. Good or Bad: It's completely smoke-free property and they threaten you with $500 if you break the rule. Now I would've been fine with this mostly but I do enjoy smoking sometimes.... and for being a resort in Florida, you would think they'd at least just allow this on your porch for maybe a few of the rooms or something of the sort... the only smoking areas are basically just before leaving the property anyways.

“great stay”

This was a beautiful resort. Very private due to beautiful plantings, could leave curtains open, no one looking in. Our room had a great view of the bay. Plenty of space, bedroom, nice sitting room with refrig and microwave, big tv. Nice bathroom with shower and tub, plenty of storage space. Two porches!! Front and back. Helpful and friendly staff. Everyone was happy with accommodations, heard lots of good comments from other travelers staying there. Nice pools, again very private, not a crowd at any pool at any time. We rented a scooter and could get anywhere on the island in just a few minutes. No worries about parking.

Area recommendations

Old Town was great. interesting, good shops, much history. Be sure to eat at Blue Heaven. That was the best food we found.

Outdoors or beach

we snorkeled and went on a sunset sail which were both very good and fun activities. We also played golf, did not do very well with rented clubs but the course was nice and the people friendly. Weather was wonderful in mid November and water was not cold.
