Old hotel that needs improvement.

Posted 17-Jun-2015
Pros: The ocean view
Cons: The hotel needs to be renovated.
Location: A bar less than a block away and about 45 minutes from Key West.
I booked, with one month anticipation, a Double room with 2 double beds. When I arrived the hotel staff gave me just one small room with 2 beds for the same price. Instead of trying to make up for their mistake and the unpleasant experience, they offer us to cancel the booking. We were at the Keys and every hotel was booked. Moreover, It does not even offer a hair dryer. The TV was from the 90's and there was not a variety of channels. Also there was no coffee maker nor a fridge.Thankfully Expedia was able to solve the issue. The breakfast was also disappointing.

Schön mit sehr einfachen aber sauberen Zimmern

Posted 22-May-2015

Comfort and ease

Posted 21-May-2015
Pros: All the amenities at the tip of your fingers.
Cons: Mattress and noise of air conditioner. Still, not unpleasing.
Pleasantly surprised of the comfort and ease of our stay at Parmer's. We were there for two nights while looking at property in the keys, and it was so nice to wake up to the sunrise in the comfortable adirondack chairs at the water's edge, go grab a bite of breakfast and then head out on our day. Great little kitchenette with a fridge that kept our beer cold, and we would come back midday to refresh ourselves and relax by the pool or veg in the hammocks. Went to Kiki's down the road for cocktails and good food.

Super sauberes und schön gelegenes Hotel

Posted 21-May-2015

Relax and enjoy

Posted 12-May-2015
Pros: The people were great! The grounds beautiful and the hammocks a nice surprise!
The Parmer Resort has a very friendly and helping staff. A great way to start your stay. Once the personal escort completes your tour head on over to a hammock and relax and enjoy! In the morning enjoy your continental breakfast on the patio and watch the birds or just enjoy the view.

Immaculately maintained, beautiful site

Very tidy, clean, beautiful spot, well off the highway but easy to reach. Simple, welcoming, comfortable. Office closes early in the evening, try to get there before it closes.

Quiet place for privacy

Posted 19-Apr-2015
Pros: Very quiet and clean
Cons: The decor is dated but we do not mind that
Location: Traveling the keys is a drive to any where, there is a great little breakfast place about 10 miles down the road and Bahia Honda state park.
We were traveling in the keys and booked 2 nights here. The staff were all very friendly. The entire resort was very laid back and quiet. We had an efficiency room which was perfect for us. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of places to enjoy a sunset.

Pretty setting but our room was uncomfortable

Posted 19-Apr-2015
We stayed in the Kingfish room for two nights in April. The setting of the resort is very pretty. Right on the water with plenty of room to relax by the water on hammocks or Adirondack chairs. The pool is nice and pool towels are available when the office is open. Also enjoyed the morning yoga by the water. Breakfast was standard continental fare, but the fresh fruit was a nice touch. Our room was uncomfortably humid. The A/C kept the room cool, but we still felt sticky while in the room and noted that our towels did not dry overnight. Another oddity about the room was the presence of two locked doors that apparently led to an office on the other side. One of the doors is in the bathroom, which makes privacy a bit questionable. Also, we were awakened one morning at 6:30am by a light on the other side of the door. I might recommend the resort in general, but not the Kingfish room for these reasons.
