Beautiful Sunset View Room

Posted 26-Feb-2015
Pros: The cleanliness, the view and the grounds where you could watch the gulf.
Cons: The parking
Location: Incredible sea food dining at Sparkys Landing, Colony Key; swimming with the dolphins, Marathon Key; Incredible Key Lime Pie, Midway Cafe, Islamorada
Due to mechanical difficulties the resort upgraded our room to a suite with a private balcony overlooking the bay and affording us an incredible view of the sunset. We are looking forward to another change to stay at Lime Tree Resort.

Cons: It would have been nice to have a restaurant closer by.
Location: We spent two days in Key West and then drove back to Lime Tree Bay in evenings.
We loved this hotel. It was beautiful - had so much 'island charm' . The room, location and staff were beautiful. Situatated on the beach with a lovely pool and surroundings. We were there on Valentine's Day and the staff put a red rose bud on our pillow. Such a nice touch. We hated to leave. Our only regret was not booking more days there, in the beginning .I would definately go back and recommend it to EVERYONE.

Great location.

Posted 19-Feb-2015
Pros: The location with regard to viewing the beautiful sunset!
It was a nice place to stay with a great location with a "mid Key" placement. There was a wonderful sunset view from the balcony of our room. The mini suite room was very convenient for storing snacks in the room. There was a convenience store across the street for basic grocery needs and it was convenient to good restaurants. There was a "low tide" odor throughout our stay but that was not the fault of the hotel and was prevalent at other spots on the island.

Great spot, a bit pricey

Pros: Loved the dock and hammocks at sunset
Cons: Access to ice
Loved the room, facilities, sunset and hot tub. The water was clear and hammocks relaxing.

Uncomfortable

Posted 17-Feb-2015
We were placed in a bldg several blocks from the main building and they said we could just drive down to use all the beach amenities. Not Likely! The king bed was lumpy and uncomfortable and there was a stench smell in the air.

The experience I wanted in the keys.

Posted 16-Feb-2015
Pros: The flavor of the key's
Cons: None
Location: Loved being in the middle of the Key's ready to go north or south for sightseeing or dinning.
Lime Tree Bay Resort, had the experience we wanted in the Key's. The flavor of a resort from years ago, but updated to today's standard's. Very clean and friendly, people that wanted to help one with any needs. The grounds are landscaped to make a comfortable relaxing retreat.

PURRRRRFECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted 11-Feb-2015
Pros: WHAT IS THERE NOT TO LIKE? SOME OF THE ROOMS HAVE KITCHENS, ALL ROOMS HAVE A REFRIGERATOR AND MICOWAVE.. SOME HAVE FULL KITCHENS.
Cons: THERE IS ALWAYS ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT, AND THE HOTEL IS ADDING NEW FEATURES FOR THE FUTURE. THIS HOTEL IS PROACTIVE.
Location: THERE IS A RESEARCH CENTER FOR DOLPHINS, (ACTUALLY THE TV SHOW FLIPPER WAS FILMED THERE). THERE ARE GREAT PLACES TO ENJOY FISH.
THIS WAS MY THIRD STAY. LIME TREE IS A HIDDEN GEM. IT IS SMALL ENOUGH THAT THE STAFF REMEMBER YOUR FACE AND TAKE TIME TO SAY HELLO AND ASK IF ALL IS WELL. THE ROOMS HAVE BEEN UPGRADED SINCE MY LAST STAY LAST YEAR. THE FACILITIES ARE EXCELLENT. THE HOTEL IS VERY CLEAN, BOTH THE ROOM AND THE SURROUNDINGS. IT IS A PERFECT PLACE TO STAY IN THE KEYS, QUIET, BUT CLOSE TO EVERYTHING.
