“OK for one night stay”

Hotel is directly on the main road with many shops which are accessible in 5 minutes with the car. The room was clean but the furniture were old. Good for a short stay.

“Good value for the Keys”

For the price this was adequate for our needs. Plain pipe rack room. The pictures must have been of another level of accommodation so when viewed we are disappoonted. But who spends much time inside in FL?! It was clean and the beds comfortable. Large people would not be able to enter the bathroom and close the door. But again clean.

“Clean Hotel nice if you want to sleep in in lit up room”

arrived at hotel check in consisted of person seeing my name on list then going to see if room was ready i was 1/2 hour early tells me its read key is in door nice size very clean room with king bed was supposed to get 2 doubles but was fine with king smallest tv I ever saw in a room which was dissapointing because I wanted to watch football game that night worst was when i tuned off lights blinds were so thin lights from parking lot behind motel lit up room and when sun came up totally bright in room they need to add curtains also bed was hard

“Okay with hotel”

This room was ok. It was clean. If you want to see all the Keys, Marathon is the place to stay, however, if you want to spend most of your time in Key West, stay in Key West. this hotel was in a central location half way between Key Largo and Key West. We experienced all of the Keys and didn't have to worry about driving all the way from one end to the other in a day.

“Will definately return next year”

Hotel was awesome. Staff was very friendly and courteous. Location was excellent. Beautiful setting. Our room had its own screened in porch. At the docks, below the great swimming pool, there were tables to sit at in the morning to drink your coffee in extreme peace.

“Nice, Laid Back Place!”

If you are looking for an inexpensive place to get some R&R in the heart of the Keys, this place will work. If you're a do it yourselfer, the efficiencies are the ticket. Nice pool & screened in porches make this place aqn excellent value!!

“Handy but past it's best”

Great location really handy for the Keys as Marathon is central. The room was clean and offered good efficiencies but was extremely dated and does need some TLC. The pool overlooks a small harbour of private boats and was a gem, especially when the locals came in with their catches to fillet. The resort does provide coffee on a terrace on the harbour but thats all. Did not see much of the staff but appeared to be friendly. Major complaint was the noise of the bikers, Annual Poker Run for charity. The bikers that were staying just made noise for noises sake especially their stereo systems and were somewhat inconsiderate to other guest, must say that we would not tar all bikers with the same brush. The noise was enhanced because the resort is enclosed with all rooms looking in. The pool was excellent but spoilt by other guests bringing glass wear around and indeed in the pool, one guest even smoked a big cigar in the pool thereby polluting the water. Complained to the staff but was informed that the staff could not stay on top of the problem. If you want cheap accom in aand around Marathon then you may enjoy but hand on heart cannot recommend unless there is to be major refurbishment. Would recommend all to visit the Keys and surrounding areas.

nice place and great if you have a boat.has ramp and slips.table and chairs along water with bbq area.

The hotel was ok, but Marathon leaves a lot to be desired.
