“Never make this mistake again!”
OK cottage style. Nice to be within walking distance of everything. Front service seems to not care, not enough parking so we had to park on the street and hope that nobody damaged our car, sink broken, television channels mysteriously changed on their own. Last night there, fell asleep with tv on (not loud by all means, i even checked the volume level and it was 10 clicks). The walls must have been super thin and tv right by next rooms bed... the window a/c unit was louder than my tv. Woke up at 1 in the morning to crazy neighbor banging wildly on my door and window... my friend and I were scared and thought it was a drunken vacationer looking for wrong room. Talked to the front desk employee in the morning about the incident, she seemed to not give a hoot and blamed me for having my tv on. I stay in hotels quite frequently and have never had a problem like that. I didn't even get angry, maybe I should have to have gotten some respect. Never staying here again. Two thumbs down. Should have listened to the other bad reviews before I booked.
“Very Good”
Everything was great, except maybe the beds. Same complaint as I have seen in other reviews, the mattresses leave something to be desired (comfort) but still a lot better than some other places I have stayed. Everything else though was fantastic. A bit pricey, but that is Key West for you, and it is only about 2 blocks from Duval St, half mile from the Southernmost Point, and about a mile from Mallory Square, so you are paying for the location. It is a very quiet place and a great change from the hustle and bustle of Duval Street to retreat to when you need to slow down at the end of the day, or a mid afternoon siesta.
“will stay here again!”
Great place to stay. Close enough to walk everywhere. Staff was very attentive.
“Good place to stay in Key West!”
Convenient location, excellent room, easy place to relax.
“Great vacation spot”
My husband And I truely enjoyed our stay at at Key Lime Inn. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. Somehow we got upgraded to a deluxe King which made things even better. The room was spacious and very clean. All of the Inns are old so there is alot of character in the architecture and the surrounding grounds. We were just far enough away from Duvall Street to have quiet if we wanted. Overall a great trip!
“Love this Hotel”
This is a quaint hotel within walking distance to Duvall Street and the attractions that Key West has to offer. We did not have any problems finding our way around and the room was really nice. Only drawback was the size of the bathroom...very small. But, I would go back. Had breakfast ready poolside in the morning and we were ready to start walking.
“Beautiful, but pricey”
We were definitely paying for the location. The pool was lovely and the room comfortable. The grounds seemed a little crowded and the parking was not enough for the number of guests staying at the inn. The breakfast was okay, but for the price I expected more than the cereal and bagel breakfast.
“Great Quaint Hotel in Old Town”
The Key Lime Inn was a great small hotel in the old town area. It was a quick walk to Duval street or the boat piers for water sports. It was a bit far of a walk from the various beaches--but you could rent a bike nearby. The rooms were clean and large enough for two. The only issue with the room was the bed was a bit hard.
“Great place, miserable beds”
The Key Lime Inn is a great place. Well kept, nice location, quiet and comfortable. Well, it's comfortable except for the rock-hard beds. I've never slept on a motel bed harder than the Key Lime's. Didn't sleep well either night. Hips, back and everything else hurt. Room was small but worked fine. Liked everything else about the place but couldn't return due to the beds. Sorry. I would love to come back.
“Caveat Tempor”
Location is ideal, other than that this Inn does not have much going for it. Staff have no grasp of the concept of customer care. Seem to think it is acceptable to use a petrol powered high pressure jet washer on the pool deck when paying guests are trying to sunbathe. Breakfast is cheap and not in keeping with the establishment's star rating. The establishment is in urgent need of a facelift, our room showed severe signs of wear and tear. Footpaths are uneven and need relaid. The use of tree bark instead of paving resulted in my wife gettings splinters in her toes. Our room was cramped. Soundproofing is poor. The air conditioner is ancient and noisy. On checking the drawers the first thing we found was eraplugs, presumably to allow guests to sleep with the a/c running. We had a room with a private patio. All 1 square metre of it. The matresses are so high they lend literal meaning to the phrase climbing into bed. To this must be added we were paying top dollar to sleep in what is basically a garden hut. All in all highly unstaisfactory. The photographs show the best of the Inn, not all of it.
