“Better than expected”
Nice size room. Had a nice patio door with a deck area off the back. Could open patio door with screen for some air. Bathroom also had a window that opened. Beds and pillows were comfortable. No nightlife in the area. Very close to beautiful beaches.
“Not Impressed”
Hmmmmm if you like noisy air conditioners, poor beds and stained blankets, music playing around the pool day and night, fan not working, poor TV reception on major channels, poor lighting in the room, shelf off wall in bathroom, low water pressure, and noisy road outside, then this place is for you.
“On the Highway”
It's convenient and cheap if you are staying in the Marathon area. My room had a lot of noise because it fronted Hwy 1, but other rooms are set farther back. The bed was comfortable. The plumbing was problematic but worked. The place had free bikes for customers to use, and very friendly staff.
“Unique Hotel with great service and a great atmosphere.”
We were late arriving and the owner was so nice about it. He went to our efficiency and turned on the ac for us and hid a key so we could arrive any time without stressing. Then, he ended up staying and waiting for us until almost an hour after the office closes. Very sweet owners and employees. We took our English Bulldog with us and they are very fet friendly. She had a great time on vacation too. There are two beautiul parrots at the hotel and the owner lets you hold them and play with them. They even ate right from my mouth. Wonderful experience. The room was a bit warmer than we would have liked but other than that it was a great stay for us.
“Horrible! Stay away at all cost!”
This place was old and run down. Everything from the room to the free kayaks were in poor condition. Most defitnetly not worth any amount of money. Upon arrival we opened the fridge and the room that already smelled of urine was filled with the foul stinch of rotting fish. The maintenance man showed up with a towel (thinking that would fix it?) and proceeded to smell it and said yep smells like fish. We left the room to check out the kayaks hoping for redemption...sadly that didn't happen. They were scary! We returned to our room filled with a bleach smell and a new fridge..,unfortunately this one smelled as well. The bath room was in poor repair with mold on the shower curtain, no water pressure, and a drain that was clogged. This place was a complete nightmare. I cannot say one positive thing about this place. It was very sad.
“Going back in July”
I just loved it . Myself and my daughter went down for mothers day . It was very home like the staff was excellent . The bed on the water front was so comfortable I wanted to take it home .Our Ac stopped working and they were right out to fix it , and when it acted up again they moved us to another room ,,we had a excellent time . The neighbors were friendly it was like you lived there and they were family . I can't wait to go back in July !!!!
“Think twice before choosing this one”
I was expecting a nice small resort for spending a night at the Keys. Instead, it turned out to be the only slightly unpleasant stay during our road trip in Florida. We were assigned what is probably their only room with just a very small window located just under the ceiling (we just couldn't see outside). Air conditioning was extremely noisy. The pool and communal areas were low quality and not so clean. Complimentary wifi didn't work, and the staff (although very friendly) didn't fix it even after having been asked twice. Overall, it's been a bad experience which we quickly tried to forget in the coming days of our trip.
“Pretty good hotel”
It was a basic hotel. The room was actually pretty big, but the beds were squeaky, and the bathroom was tiny. Low water pressure for shower, and it took a while for hot water. All rooms are non-smoking, but most have sliding glass doors to a small patio area with chairs. It was very quiet, no noisy neighbors or traffic, and we were right off the highway. Easy to find, and a nice central location for Marathon attractions.
“Best for Less!”
I really had a great time here in Marathon. I wished i could have stayed a bit longer but I am looking forward to going back. It was great for recreation with my wife and son, there is shopping near by which was very convenient. The room was awesome, it got a little crowed when my daughters found out my location decided to crash. Although it wasn't a new hotel, the room was very clean, on the water, and great for fishing.
“for the price just right.”
overall an average experience hotel. hotel a little farther from key west than expected but we survided the1 hour drive.
