Quiet, gorgeous luxury in the Keys.

Posted 26-May-2015
Pros: The grounds were beautiful. The room was comfortable and romantic, with a stunning view.
Cons: We were sad that the bikes and kayaks were shut down at 4 or 4:30. We would have liked a short evening paddle.
Location: There is a lot to do nearby. Great restaurants, plus all that the middle Keys have to offer. The beach was lovely right in front of the hotel.
We upgraded our room upon arrival to an ocean front room. We're so glad we did. The views are stunning. The king room on the top floor of the lodge was sumptuous, comfortable and quiet. We woke up to watch the sunrise from bed. The staff was exceptionally helpful and nice.

First class!!!! I loved it!

It was amazing - the staff is friendly and we had a great time. The resort has everything you could want. The adults-only pool cabanas and the smoothie bar were my favorites!

gorgeous property...

Posted 25-May-2015
Pros: Beautiful grounds, nice room, high-end
Cons: Expedia can improve the description! While our room was lovely, with 4 people and no sitting area, not happy. Also, no robes as Expedia said!
Location: Private, beautiful grounds, 2 pools, jacuzzis...lots of restaurants nearby. Fishing, marine theatre close by, bicycles, kayaks, swimming, para-sailing
The whole grounds and resort are phenomenal. Feels like you're on your own island! Beautiful location..ocean kayaking, bicycling, fishing...Will definitely be returning!

A Taste Of Bahamas Without Leaving The States

Posted 23-May-2015
Pros: Avoiding the hassle of flying and crazy fees at locations beyond the USA was extremely important to us, and Cheeca Lodge in Florida fit the bill well.
Cons: Really, they have planned things out very well...not a whole lot more to be done.
Location: Cheeca is right off Rt1(the Keys Highway), on the ocean side. There are numerous cafes, bars, and eaterys, as well as local shops and activities.
This was our 25th Anniversary, and I wanted a special, memorable getaway. From arrival at the valet, bellhop station, to the champaign registration, to a gorgeous totally supplied Deluve suite, we knew this was a special place. The pool area is beautiful, with the ocean a few steps away, and no shortage of lounge chairs at either one. Add a great Tiki bar next to the pool, with attentive waitresses, and good food, and you have it all right at your fingertips.

The very definition of tropical paradise!

Posted 17-May-2015
Pros: A literal paradise of a property, with great attention to detail, comfort, beauty, convenience, and service.
Location: Grocery store directly across from entrance is the only one for 10 miles. Eat at Islamorada Fish Co (on the water) and Lazy Days (delicious).
Simply the best you can do in the Keys. The laid-back style in the Keys often results in lodging that is a bit shabby, even at expensive prices. The Cheeca isn't cheap, but it's worth it. Unbelievably gorgeous grounds, decor, buildings, beach, restaurants, lagoon, spa, etc. The lagoon rooms overlook a paradise view of man-made pool, waterfalls, boardwalks, etc, lit by tiki torches all around, every night, and are a short beautiful walk to the beach and other buildings. The palm trees, flowers, vines, gumbo-limbo trees, are so beautiful, you feel like you're walking through a postcard, the entire time you're there. We're so spoiled by the Cheeca, that we may not be content anywhere else, again! If you want to feel like you've escaped to a beach paradise, this is the place. There were a few tiny things in the room that needed service- tub stopper was missing a piece, shower drain was slow, microwave control panel was loose. But in the context of such a gorgeous room, deep soaking tub, rain-shower showerhead, spacious two-room bathroom, gorgeous decor in the room, and luxurious property, these things really weren't anything to complain about.

Pros: friendly staff
Cons: to get what u pay for
Location: wonderful food across the road a restaurant called the fish house
my one night stay was very nice,,,I booked a view of the golf course and on the day of arrival was changed to a view of the top of several roof tops,,we where tired and decided not to make a big deal of it,,,but it was in my mind...especially because it was a surprise to my honey who loves golf.....
