“AMAZING BEST HOTEL IN TOWN”
this was the best hotel experience I have ever had. Strikingly beautiful, top-notch customer service-I will be returning for sure
“Florence from on high”
Villa La Vedetta sits above Florence with unrivalled views. Excellent service, lovely pool and terrace area. Very good cuisine and wine list. Gripes; 2 weddings during our stay made it feel 'less exclusive' and on one night very noisy (but the bride and groom looked perfect). Drinks by the glass over priced. Oh and take your insect repellant the hotel lies within a woodland. Down the hill for excellent local cuisine and cocktails!
“definitely not worth the high rating”
I chose this hotel as it had a carpark on site which I needed as I was using this as a base to drive around Tuscany and Umbria. Overall I would say that the hotel needs a bit of a decor overhaul - the woodwork and walls are scuffed and shabby. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Be aware that this hotel is perched at the top of many steps so if you are not fighting fit - do not choose to take them on. A taxi into florence centre was around Euro10 each way. It has great views but is not near anything. The hotel restaurant is michelin starred so is seriously expensive which is fine if that is what you want - but I don't believe croissants and coffee in a michelin restaurant are any more expensive than a regular cafe - so that aspect is extremely overpriced. I would say my main and biggest complaint on this hotel was that the beds were so hard it was like sleeping on a wooden floor. When I got home I check straight in for Chiro sessions as my back was completely shot. To the point even though exhausted at the end of each lovely day in Tuscany, I dreaded going to bed as they were SO hard and uncomfortable and as a result sleep was intermittent. With a few changes this hotel could be wonderful but unfortunately right now it is not.
“Hotel in posizione strategica”
“Grandioser Ausblick, guter Service”
Vielen Dank! Wir werden sicher wiederkommen!
