“Great Tuscan Retreat”

“Worst stay ever.”

Firstly, the reception desk was unattended. Secondly, the receptionist was not receptive to our needs. Thirdly, after our 36 hr flight from Australia followed by a 3hr drive from Rome to the Hotel we were meet with the receptionist informing us that the room would not be available till 4pm (we arrived at 2pm). When we finally got to our "Charm Room" the room was far from charming, there was barley enough room for the bed let alone any baggage. In conclusion, we do not recommend this Hotel and in fact have since found far better hotels in the area.

“Fine Toscana Villa”

Only one thing was wrong - smoked room. The rest is fine

“View was unbelievable”

The VIlla was better than the reviews listed on expedia, however a car is a must if you stay here. But the service and Villa itself was spectacular,

“Hope to go back...but...”

We had a super stay, fabulous setting, good facilities, excellent restaurant. The only disappointing aspect was that there was a wedding reception in the hotel on the Saturday night. We were not informed therefore removing the option of going out to eat that night. As it is we had to endure what I can only describe as a football crowd background to what should have been a quiet, romantic meal. The noise lasted until at least 1am!

“Excellent hotel I will be back as soon as I can”

Very nice Villa in the middle of the Tuscany Valley, food is excellent, services and room comfort. Great location very closed to great places to visit like Siena, Florence, San Gimignano, etc. I will recommend it 100 %, great for honeymooners.

“place to go for relaxing and lovely scenery”

Try to get to the hotel in day light. P:itch dark after the sun goes down and hotel was difficult to find despite satnav and hotel signs on the road. eventually found it by phoning the hotel and a very helpful receptionist.

“Traumhaftes Hotel mit Mängeln beim Service”

Hotel ist traumhaft - auch die Lage auf einem Hügel ist wunderschön. Beim Check-In bekamen wir ein kostenloses Upgrade. Abendessen im Hotel war ebenfalls hervorragend. Aber: - wir kamen eine halbe Stunde vor Ende der Frühstückszeit und es gab kein Brot oder Brötchen mehr, d.h. nur süsses Gebäck. - Eier mt Speck sollte unsere Alternative werden (extra zu bezahlen). Das gab es aber auch nicht, da kein Speck mehr verfügbar war - als wir an der Rezeption anmerkten, dass wir kein Frühstück bekommen haben und dies daher auch nicht bezahlen wollten, wurde es ärgerlich, d.h. zuerst versuchte man uns zu erklären, dass ein Frühstück ja nicht nur aus Brot bestehe und ja süßes Gebäck vorhanden sei. Und Eier mit Speck seinen ohnehin nicht Teil des normalen Frühstücks. - Erst nach langer und hitziger Diskussion erließ man uns die 20 Euro für das Frühstück (Anrechnung auf sonstige Ausgaben). - Zu keinem Zeitpunkt entschuldigte man sich oder drückte das Bedauern aus Trotz allem, ein traumhaft schönes Hotel.

“Décevant”

Si vous y allez pour la piscine, et le restaurant. Vous ne serez pas déçu, pour le reste, ne vous attendez pas à des miracles. Malgré un cadre exceptionnel, le service de l'hôtel était très décevant à ce niveau. -Oubli de reprendre les bagages des clients précédents. -Oubli de faire la chambre -Oubli de nous réveiller pour notre départ. Ceci ne mérite pas 4 étoiles sup. mais 2 ou 3 max. Attention, même en demi-pension, le prix n'inclus pas le vin (normal) mais pas non plus une simple bouteille d'eau et se rajoute le service! Ce n'est donc pas une "demi-pension".
