Fantastic hotel in the hills outside Florence. Gorgeous view from the relaxing courtyard. Great restaurant looking over same view. I would definitely stay again.

The property is beautiful, clean and comfortable with incredible views. The overall area is gorgeous and a quick taxi ride to city. It was nice to getaway for some peace and quiet. The buffet breakfast was amazing, great selection. The staff were so friendly amd accommodating. Barbara at the front desk so lovely. Enjoyed every minute of our stay!

No brainer - the secret win
Spectacular - the best part of Florence without the craziness of in-town tourist zoo. 15 min taxi to the center of town and a very welcome escape for the evening. The restaurant is second to none and is a close second only to the Villa San Michele next door.

The perfect Italy experience of staying in a villa with a stunning view of Florence, yet only 20ish minutes from the city center via taxi or bus. The staff was attentive to every need, and meals on their terrace and in the dining room with a view were deliciously memorable. Top notch!

This hotel is great! It’s in the outskirts of Florence, with a great view of the city and easy public transportation. The staff in the reception, restaurant and housekeeping was amazing! A plus is the pool, small but you won’t find many hotels with pools. The weather up in Fiesole is cooler than Florence since it’s in a hill. Did I mention the views?! I can’t wait to go back.

You can't go wrong with the view at this place. It overlooks the city of Florence. Breakfast and dinner are always on the terrace with views of the city. The staff is Very nice and fully accommodating. We had one of the garden rooms which was so lovely and convenient. It steps out to a lovely space with lounge furniture and gazebo coverings and more views. Our room was very pretty with elegant details like tapestry curtains, beautiful light fixtures, and a gorgeous chest of drawers. The bathroom was nice but it had that typical Italian deep tub with a half shower, meaning a glass door that is a divider and not a door, so for Americans a bit strange. But I believe they have other rooms with closed showers. The pool is very nice but smaller than it looks in the photos, still a very relaxing spot. The icing on the cake is that the 5 star Villa San Michele is literally right above the Villa Fiesole, and one Must go there to have an aperitivo. You will not be disappointed. So a wonderful stay for the price and I would definitely stay there again.

in our room there were a number of things that need repair, eg toilet seat, outlets, kettle. in addition some of the staff at the reception were not very friendly but others were. the restaurant’s food and staff were amazing.

Second day, no toilet paper, Kleenex and towels we placed on the bottom of the bath tub???? Weird, we came back at the hotel late and expected our rooms clean....garbage was not cleaned and taken out...told manager and basically said nothing to us?

Romantic revisit after wedding
We stayed at this hotel as we'd held our wedding reception there last year. This time around we were disappointed in our room and asked to be moved, which they did. The staff seemed to have all changed and overall weren't as friendly or accommodating as last time. We'd probably try another hotel when next in town.

The property is situated in a stunning location. The food in the restaurant was excellent. If you have mobility issues, this is not the place for you. There is no direct access to the hotel, so guests and luggage are decanted at the bottom of a very steep flight of stairs, with more stairs up to the hotel. I was very kindly put in the villa which (after much stair climbing) is at ground level but the approach to the villa is very coarse gravel making luggage transfer or walking for those with a balance problem very tricky. Lovely helpful staff

There was no help getting luggage up the stairs. There was too many stairs. The staff were very unhelpful as they don’t me a taxi ride to Bologna airport was one price however I had to pay more than what they were quoting. The room was terrible as they have left a windows open which attracted bugs which meant getting bitten from them.

Overall okay
The hotel was okay. Taxi drops you off on a rock road leading to a rock parking lot in front of the hotel. You have to carry your bags up 3 flights of stairs. Then carry your bags over rocks to the villa rooms. Comfortable clean room but old. View was amazing but far drive up the hill and down the hill each day to go into Florence. We spent about $30-40 euros one way.

It was a nice stay, however we booked 3 rooms and 2 of us in our group booked the deluxe superior rooms and only one of us got it. The other members in my party did not get it and was never offer any kind of compensation except to say that they would move them to another room when and if it opened up and on our 3rd night they did but only moved them to the main rooms instead of the villas and in a handicap room. They were not please. Also, not all of the staff but some of the staff was quite cold and a bit rude unfortunately.

Beautiful hotel with amazing staff
The location is amazing for popping into Florence with an exceptional bus service from the hotel. The road is quite busy but doesn’t distract you from the stunning views or the enjoyment of this hotel. The biggest asset this hotel has, is its staff. The attention to detail is first class and the staff make you feel so welcome that it will feel like you are staying with friends rather than in a hotel.

Overall the worst hotel we stayed at during our 2 week stay in Italy. They do not have air conditioning as advertised, sleeping with the windows open allowed us to hear all the dogs, cars and people walking across the gravel. The food was cold and stale and customer service was the worst. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

Beautiful but loud
The property and location are lovely, and the restaurant and terrace are fabulous. The room itself was a problem however; our "view" was mainly of a row of trees with slivers of the city that could be barely glimpsed between them, and the tradeoff was the constant sound of traffic from the road -- which probably wouldn't have been so bad were it not for the fact that Italians frequently drive like maniacs, and go roaring by at top speed on what should be a peaceful mountain road. Our room was also adjacent to the main door of the building, which unfortunately doesn't have a soft-close mechanism, so periodically there would be a loud slam which would jolt me awake. This was the last night of our trip and was supposed to be a restful stop before our long flight back to the US the next morning; unfortunately, it was the opposite. If you opted for a room at the back of the property, it would likely be an entirely different experience.
