“Quality for winter rate-fantastic”

I booked a very good rate for the hotel which I stayed at before on business and knew to be very nice. Granted it was quiet for a slow time in winter 2009, but everyone was very kind and the check-in receptionist gave us 2 beautiful rooms over-looking the arno with balconies. Very memorable. We loved the bar each evening as well.

It started with an upgrade in our room. The room was large and bathrm very large. Of cause the Westin beds are the best for comfort. The staff helped us with great recommendations to very special restaurants which we absolutely loved. Fantastic comraderie with consierge staff and enjoyed many fun moments with them . The location on the Arno river was lovely, and very scenic at night walking along the river to the center of Florence. We walked everywhere. We only ate breakfast at the hotel resturant and staff were attentive to our requests.(ie American coffee) All is all a wonderful stay.

“Fantastic Hotel”

We spent two nights at the Westin Excelsior and could not have been more pleased. The rooms are excellent although not large and the staff is quite helpful. I have no complaints whatsoever and would recommend this hotel.

“Florence is Grand!”

The Excelsior staff was excellent. Breakfast buffet is extensive and a nice way to start the day. Two cappuccinos? No problem. The location of the hotel is perfect, not too close to the hub bub and not too far to walk to everything in Florence you will want to see. The concierge staff made recommendations every night for dinner. All were very good, only one, 13 Gobbi, had poor service and they made note of it. We rented bikes from the hotel one day and had a blast. Stay on the river side if you can get a room there. The view is spectacular and the bells will enchant.

“Stylish Florentine experience”

Great location, only a 10 minute walk from the centre of Florence. Situated on the bank of the Arno, flanked by churches and lovely views down the river. The hotel is very stylish and has the wow factor throughout, not just the entrance lobby!! Stayed during our honeymoon break and found the staff very helpful, attentive and friendly, particularly the concierge.

I had the opportunity to stay here thanks to a great deal on Expedia. I expected that smaller, back rooms would be alloted for the 'special' rate but that was not the case. I had a lovely front room overlooking the piazza and with a view up the Arno. Just wonderful

“Great hotel and staff”

Beautiful hotel with excellent service .Located in easy walking distance to many great restaurants and to shopping.The staff was extremely courteous and helpful in showing our party of seven how to get to attractions with maps.Will definitely stay at this hotel again when I return to Florence.Uriele from Houston,Texas.

My trip to florence for business or pleasure is one-two every year.It was my first time i stay in this hotel and i was very satisfied with my stay there.Very clean,the room was very comfortable,nice and kind people at the concierge,lobby,reception and of course stategical place near the centre of the city.Also very safe area for walking in the evening near the river.Without any other words i recommend you all to visit this hotel
