“Great hotel & lovely staff”

This was a lovely hotel with very helpful & friendly staff. The hotel is about 15-20min walk to the Duomo so slightly out of the centre of the city but it's a very straight forward route so wasn't an issue. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay

“Nice hotel in Florence”

Peaceful and quiet despite being on a main road, so we were possibly lucky to have a room at the back. Although not in the very centre of tourist Florence, it's an easy walk to get to the main attractions. Also is convenient for the airport. There are a couple of good restaurants just round the corner and a couple of cafe/bar places on the square. Nice shower in the room. Tea/coffee making stuff available if you ask. TV controls a bit awkward to use, and it piped the TV sound into the bathroom whether you wanted it or not. Breakfast was a good selection & seemed to be kept fresh. Overall, a very pleasant stay and good value.

“This hotel is fantastic, highly recommended”

The only drawback with the hotel was that it was about a 20 minute walk to San Lorenzo and we found it far easier to just book a cab at reception. The trip cost about 10 euros but well worth it as we had more time to look at the rest of Florence. The staff were really helpful and very very pleasant.

“Good hotel on edge of tourist district”

Pleasant, straightforward hotel with friendly and helpful staff. 15 minute walk to the sights, but that's fine - Tuscan food needs walking off and there are plenty of good trattoria within 5 minutes walk.

“Wonderful Hotel”

We stayed at the San Gallo Palace for two weekday nights in late September. Although away from the main sights-it was worth it in terms of value, comfort and peacefulness. Easy,simple stroll through real neighborhoods to Duomo. Our room even had a small sun trap balcony. The staff were very good as well as being friendly. Bed comfortable and you can choose the type of pillow you want.Good lighting in rooms for reading and air conditioning work very well. Nice full breakfast buffet with excellant choices. Great restaurants recommended by staff. Parking is in a garage two blocks away and was 34 euros for two nights:safe and secure garage. Parking space in front of hotel for registering and for unloading/loading luggage. Great safe neighborhood. Will definitly stay there again our next trip to Florence.

“Excellent Hotel, thoroughly recommended.”
