“Room for 4 - wow!”

We had a room for 4 overlooking the river Arno and green trees - what a room and what a view and what comfort, thank you! Location very good, just a bridge crossing over to other side where the City sights begin in earnest. Initially to find the place and then the front desk may be it bit challenging, but we enjoyed our stay very much. What can you say about Florence that has not been said? Just amazing . .

“san frediano mansion”

I had a nice stay at the San Frediano Mansion Bed and Breakfast and would recommend it to others. It is located on the oltrano which is the quieter side of the river though just as close to the city center (less than 10 minute walk). The 'mansion' part of the name is a little misleading, it is really more like a series of one room apartments located on the second level of the building (a few apartments are actually on different levels then the rest of the bed and breakfast. ) My first room was really nice, the room was very spacious with a really tall grand ceiling, there was also a nice little refrigerator . The double bed was really two beds pushed together under one sheet, but otherwise it was comfortable as long as you didn't fall down the middle! I'd definitely recommend bringing misquito spray, that was a large problem at night, , but that's an issue in all of Florence. The bathroom was pretty tiny, it would have been difficult for someone very overweight to manuever in, but other wise clean and well serviced. After about 3 days, I switched to an apartment room, which was even more spacious. It consisted of a kitchen, living room, and bedroom, so I could cook many meals at home too since I had a long stay. That one was really nice. Customer service is very polite and helpful. There is internet service though it doesn't work for everyone, and there's a grocery store nearby. Good stay overall! :)
