My husband and I very much enjoyed our stay at Relais Cavalcanti. Anna, Francesca and the young woman who met us when we arrived were delightful. Our room -Donatello-was lovely with a view of Palazzo Signoria. The location was excellent. Walking distance of most everything we wanted and many restaurants in the area. We would stay here again1

The service was friendly. The stairs can be onerous if you have heavy luggage. The dining room was clean and you could make coffee at any time of the day or night.

Excellence all around
I could not be happier with my stay here. I contacted them via email several weeks before my stay to ask if they would be willing to reserve restaurants for me ahead of time and they were absolutely wonderful about it and booked over 7 restaurants for me. Check in was very friendly, they provided a map of the area wifh recommendations. Cleaned the room every day which was great, cold water in the mini fridge on arrival. Location was excellent in central florence, only 15 min walk from train station and 5 to the Duomo. When my flight got cancelled and i was delayed by a day, they kindly adjusted my reservation so I didn't pay for an extra day even last minute. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Had a fabulous 3 night stay. Rooms were really comfortable, clean and quiet. Anna the host was wonderful - very kind and helpful. Will definitely return next time we're in Florence.

This Guest House is in very central florence closed to Uffizi Galary as described. Anna is very helpful. She assists to call taxi for us on the departure day to the airport. It's nice to have some coffee, biscuits and some fruits in the morning. There are eggs as well although they are not hot. Overall I really recommend this place for its perfect location.

Fantastic location! I'm not sure you could even ask for better. Only downside (if it even counts) is that it's so centrally located that all the restaurant nearby are very touristy, but the staff provided a map highlighting areas to walk to for more local food. Rooms were clean and the shower had hot water that you could crank up to scalding ;)

Very good location and friendly host. The room and bathroom were spacious. The dining room was also comfortable and the continental breakfast was good. The only negative was the noisy market just outside our room.

It is the personal one on one with the two owners Anna and Francesca that made iur stay so memorable. What other hotels do you know that already have the local maps prepared with out od the area coffee shops and restaurants.

This hotel is a must when staying in florence - location, location, location is just the beginning. Right in the heart of Florence and minutes away from Ponte Vecchio, what more could you ask for? Exceptional service - Anna went above and beyond to assist us with planning our holiday and I cannot thank her enough. She was amazing and her passion is what makes this hotel so beautiful, each of the rooms has so much thought and love and have been thought through for what travellers need. Thank you Anna and the team for making our stay in florence so perfect. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Absolutely wonderful place to stay. Great location to everything in Florence. Francesca and Anna were very helpful and accommodating hosts. It was very clean. The breakfast was tasty with many snacks available throughout the day. I will definitely stay here again.

We stayed at Relais Cavalcante 10 years ago with our daughters and didn't even consider another place to stay in Florence. Anna and her staff are amazing and offer impeccable service. They arranged breakfast for us when we left early one day for a tour. They stock a breakfast room with snacks and beverages at any hour. We love this establishment and highly recommend!

We had a great time at this place. Excellent location. The owner was very helpful And truly committed to making sure We were comfortable in Florence. She sent me to the leather school to buy a great bag rather than the junk that’s on the streets which is made in China. Nice breakfast. Super big room. 1 flight up to the lift.

AMAZING!
Our stay at Relais Cavalcanti was nothing short of amazing!! Our host, Francesca was incredibly helpful and accommodating to our every need. The location is great, close to all many main attractions, shops & restaurants. It can be a bit noisy in the evenings but it can be expected if you want to be in the centre of the city. Room was clean & spacious and the B&B is very tastefully decorated. Would definitely, without hesitation recommend it!!

This is, quite honestly, one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. It is totally Italy. And the rooms are lovely. It is spotlessly clean. The breakfast is fantastic. I am still not over fresh juice from blood oranges. Our hostesses, Anna and Francesca were simply wonderful. So welcoming. So personable. If I have the opportunity to return to Florence, I will be looking to stay right here.

Relais Cavalcanti was centrally located in Florence. it was like staying in a lovely home. The rooms were clean and well appointed. Air-conditioning was a plus in August. Staff were very helpful and welcoming and went above and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Run don't walk to get there !
One of the nicest places we stayed. Immaculately clean. Comfortable. A wonder array of food in the breakfast room. Anna helped us with everything. She was funny and delightful. We wanted to stay longer The other guests were also very nice and good conversation was had by all. The location was perfect. Nothing was more then a 10 minute walk I can't wait to return there next year. Thumbs up a real find !!!!!

If you are looking for a guesthouse experience in the heart of Florence this is it. 12 rooms international clientele. Anna was amazingly helpful with personalized maps and good cheer.

Superb location
Superb location and good value. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Minor negatives included there being not much storage space in our standard room (a chest of drawers would have been useful), some corridor noise early in the mornings (doors banging and the doorbell) and there was no bathroom hot water on our last morning. Overall we would definitely stay again and reccomend due to the location.

Unbelievably good
I can't start to describe how great the place was. Location is right in the heart of the old city, close to Duomo and Plaza Dela Republica, 100 meters. There are 2 sets of soundproof windows, that completely block the noise. The receptionist was extremely kind and she did more that I expected her to do - she turned the heating on in the whole hotel and gave a heater only because I mentioned that I was slightly sick. The price, which is extremely modest for this kind of quality, included free snacks at dining room that is possible to use 24 hours. The owner Francesa was extremely kind as well. The place is impeccably clean. This is the first time during my trip that I leave a raving review. Thank you guys, I have limited time in Florecne and you made it really great!

A little tough to find, as it is in the pedestrian only part of town, but taxis can get 1/2 block away. Wonderful front desk personnel, kitchen and dining table for continental breakfast. Perfect citing for sightseeing in old Florence.

Great central location that is walk-able from both sides of the river. The room is spacious and nice size bathroom (especially for European standards). This is NOT a hotel but a guesthouse (renting a room in an apartment and you get a key to come and go). We really enjoyed it, it was clean, nicely decorated, nice atmosphere with a kitchen that you could use at will. No breakfast but some snacks or cereal which was plenty enough for us. Free wifi and small tv. They provided us a SUPER helpful map with the highlights of Florence and good restaurants ideas. This made our stay easy - THANK YOU. I would stay here again.

Quaint place near center of Fierenze
Really nice and helpful staff, shared kitchen for all guests that even has a coffee pot (this may be the only place in Italy with normal American coffee!), and only a handful of rooms. The downsides are likely prevalent in most nearby hotels: unsteady water temperature in shower, old furniture, and harmless bugs on the ceiling. Being close to the center is super convenient but if you sleep early be aware there are sometimes noisy concerts at night in the plaza below.

Great location. Very clean, nicely decorated room. Nice high ceilings. Convenient to have a common room with snacks. Pub downstairs and next door. Only drawback was that the bed was a bit uncomfortable, but that seems to be typical in my experience for small European hotels. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

In the heart of it all.
Right in the heart of Firenze with a view of the Palazzo Vecchio and the Mercato Nouvo and a three minute walk to the Ufizzi. More a residence than a hotel, so if you like a little more independence this is the place for you. Spacious, clean convenient, and the two sisters that own it are extremely pleasant and helpful as was all of the staff. When I couldn't get reservations at the Accademia for the four of us because of internet issues they were able to make a reservation and without the added service fee. Breakfast is self service but the spacious kitchen is open all day and was a great place to meet fellow travelers. Great place to stay all around.

Great hotel in a great location. Note that this hotel is unmanned. This doesn't lend to any problems until one comes up and you have no one to ask questions of. One word of advice, pay upon check in. I did not do this and worried about how I would pay. In the end, they simply charge your card so it didn't lend to being a big deal. Also, bring a three pronged electrical adapter for this hotel as it does not have the standard two pronged adapters. Great restaurant if you exit hotel and turn immediately to your right then immediately left. Walk three or so blocks. Place has bar seats and great food. Very cool and cozy.

Second stay for two nights. Francesca was there to greet us on arrival and was really helpful throughout our stay. Accommodation has an apartment feel to it and we appreciated the freedom of coming and going as we pleased. Good central location, however there are quite a few steps to contend with so probably not the best choice if you have any restrictions on movement or difficulties walking.
