“most wonderful... a bit noisy though..”
Loved the hotel, the staff and the location... however it was a bit noisy with thin walls and no double glazing... don't let that dissaude you though. A beautfiul clean hotel with excellent staff!
“hotel review”
Nice accomadations but a/c seemed weak overall it was a good hotel the staff spoke english and breakfast was excellent would recommend for future
“Great Hotel”
I would certainly recommend this hotel. Hotel room is great, comfortable, spacious, great breakfast, every hotel employee is very polite and helpfull, free wi-fi.. etc. I could go on and on about positives on this hotell. Its true the hotel is another 5-10 min walk from center of Florence but for me that was just perfect. Location is lovely and quiet.
“nice hotel, not very helpful staff.”
Nice hotel, clean, good size bedrooms. We had 2 rooms. The ones looking at the river have a great view. The other ones...just dont open the curtains. One of our rooms was booked for a couple and a 6 year old. The room had 2 single beds stuck together and when asked about the extra bed this was the answer "we are fully booked, he can sleep between you".
“Marvellous”
Hotel Plaza Lucchesi, would stay there again without a second thought, we had a river view which was fabulous, a little noisy perhaps with the traffic but well worth it, in fact i'm sure wherever you stay in Florence it would be quite noisy in this compact city. It was very accessible to all the sites, and only one bridge away from Ponte Vecchio.
“Highly recommended Florence hotel”
An excellent hotel situated just off the very centre of Florence by the bank of the River Arno and close to The National Library and s.Croce. Five minutes walk to local restaurants and ten minutes to The Uffizi Gallery. A little further to all the major sights, cafes and eateries. Faultless service and an exceptional Concierge. Outstanding inclusive buffet-style breakfast with all one would expect plus a fresh and cooked fruit section which, surprisingly, offered Champagne. A very comfortable and highly enjoyable establishment.
“will come back”
best view in florence. nice small freindly hotel and staff good breakfast
“Great hotel!”
Good location of hotel, breakfast always good. Hotel staff was helpful. Recommended good restaurants. Quite room facing church with balcony, ver delightful. Comfortable bar area with snacks at cocktail time. Can't wait to get back to this hotel!
“Nice place but could use a staff upgrade”
Overall I give a tepid endorsement to the hotel. It was clean and well maintained, and its location is certainly fine since it is within easy walking distance of many of Florence's major attractions. The staff, however, was lacking in enthusiasm and friendliness, seeming to be perfunctory rather than genuinely interested in guest concerns and comfort.
“Everything we had hoped for”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Plaza Lucchessi. Romano the concierge was extremely helpful and a true gentleman. Florence was not originally on our itinerary but friends strongly recommended that we go and stay at the Plaza Lucchessi. From the beginning of our stay I knew we had made the right decision. The recommendations made by the front desk were always spot on.
