“Excellent service in a genuine period building”
The service is typified by our late arrival (due to airlines) being met with a very good complimentary supper of cold meats and cheese (veggie option available). The suite was large and the 2 rooms offered plenty of space to relax in. The hotel doesn’t have a lot of rooms, so has a feeling of space. The location was good, being no more than 10mins walk to the centre and the breakfast was good, if a little pricey. Having said that, the bar prices for a bottle of Prosecco was most reasonable and when drunk from the rooftop bar at sunset made for a great evening. Overall, the standout feature was the genuine effort the staff made to ensure you had a good stay.
“Our best hotel ever”
Suite comprised two huge and beautiful rooms with incredibly high ceilings. But, beautifully warm (very cold in Feb!) Sitting room with sofa, two armchairs, large coffee table, breakfast table with chairs, desk with chair, TV with Sky, mini bar, additional wardrobe space and cupboards. Windows looked out onto Borgo San Frediano. Bedroom was similarly well appointed; huge double bed (not two zipped together!), large wardrobe with good wooden hangers, large chest of drawers, bedside tables, TV with DVD player! Bathroom was not huge but good size bath with integral shower (with fitted glass side), basin, loo, bidet and plenty of space to store things. Big heated towel rail and generous selection of towels, including really decent size bath towels. The generous supply of toiletries was Bulgari Thé Vert. (A small thing, perhaps, but this is a really refreshing and unobtrusively perfumed range – so it’s not going to fight with your own fragrance of choice!) We celebrated our arrival with a half bottle of Veuve Cliquot from the mini bar (fizz glasses provided alongside). Not a rip-off, we felt, at €26.
“Perfect Honeymoon Hotel!”
What more can we say, the hotel does not dissappoint in any way. The staff are lovely from the manager to the bell boy, the hotel is beautiful. Make sure you have drinks from the terrace before leaving, the views are amazing.
“Stunning hotel / palace”
We were welcomed at the door by the concierge and she sorted out a minor problem with the reservation before escorting us to the room. We had been upgraded and the suite surpassed our expectations. Beautiful rooms, high ceilings, a real sense of history and beautiful artwork throughout. Rooftop terrace was stunning. Breakfast also superb but expensive (and not included). Great hotel location within walking distance of all the sites. Good restaurants nearby (try Pandemonio, 5 mins walk)- great food. All in all- can't wait to return. Springtime was good for visiting all the sites- queues were manageable.
“Now I know what the Medici's felt like!”
I'm rather reluctant to tell you about this hotel experience! For a start it wasn't a Hotel - it was a real Palace - the whole ambiance of the place and the attention to detail and service were outstanding. How many places offer you a choice of a dozen different expensive soap fragrances to choose from for your stay? It was like being cosseted in a time warp of the C17th! These are not 'rooms' but spacious suites with private living rooms furnished with antiques, tapestries, oriental carpets - even valuable old silverware! This was living on a grand scale in grand surroundings with invisible, but always attentive staffing. The roof terrace has superb views over central Florence, fancy a game of billiards, a workout in the gym...? Rather eerily I was aware of no other guests in the hotel during a 3 night stay. Maybe there were some - or perhaps they just weren't seen in the vastnmess of the Palazzio? My only small gripe was the bathroom - not quite on the same grand scale as everthing else - but on leaving I suggested a makeover....so next stay I'm sure this'll be sorted! When staying in Florence I'd deffinitely go back to this venue.
“Florence's best”
Wonderfull, friendly service. Best ever.
“A Step Back in Time”
The staff could not be more pleasant or helpful. The hotel has immense old world charm and character and is less than a 10minute stroll from the Ponte Vecchio. The view from the terrace is well worth the extra effort and the courteous attention of the staff when you get there is superb. Truly Palatial. One of the most enjoyable visits to Italy we have undertaken.
“Genuine Palazzo Experience - Wonderful”
Really lovely hotel, in a great area of Florence with lots of good restaurants near by and within very easy walking distance of all the major attractions. We stayed there with our kids and had a two bedroom suite. The rooms are massive and very comfortable with great attention to detail and personal touches. Very good, attentive, friendly staff offering wonderful service - they were very welcoming and great with restaurant reservations etc. It's a real, old Florentine palace so don't expect Hilton or Hyatt style plushness and spa/pool etc. it is soooo much better than that! I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Florence.
“Our own Italian palace!”
We were given the most wonderful welcome and shown to our room (in the rickety lift with the most hilarius interior - really over furnished for a lift, it has a red velvet seat, LOL!) and the suite was enormous. Huge high ceilings in the lounge and bedroom, not extravagently furnished by authentic and beautifully comfortable. The bathroom was also sizable with lovely Bulgari products and we swanned around hardly seeing another soul at the Palazzo - and I wish we had been there longer as the view from the roof terrace is incredibly beautiful and worth the stay in itself...I could have spent a very long afternoon there!! I'd 110% recommend this hotel for its location, hospitality and helpfulness of the staff and it's wonderful size.
“A Palace in Florence”
The Palazzo Magnani Feroni hotel was exceptionally nice - the greeting we received on arrival and the service throughout our stay was impeccable. In fact nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The location of the hotel was also first rate - overall, we could not have had a better experience of Florence.
