“Great service, great location, very noisy”
This wonderful apartment is in a great location right in the heart of Florence. There are wonderful restaurants nearby and you really feel like you are a resident instead of a tourist. Only problem is that even with windows and shutters closed, the noise on the street is unbearable - scooters, dogs, etc. until the wee hours of the morning. Wonderful Manager - helpful and knowledgeable. Office closes by 7:00 p.m.
“Excellent room for a good price.”
Our room was a studio apartment with a beautiful bathroom and kitchenette. Very private and the staff was flexible and courteous. No hesitation to stay again.
“Great place for a family or small group”
The most amazing rooms I have ever seen in a hotel, with ceilings about 4 m high. The location is great for sightseeing, everything within walking distance. You can comfortably fit up to six adults into these suites without feeling cramped. An earlier review of this place completely missed the point - this is not a hotel in the traditional sense, i.e. front desk service and service hours are very limited, and there is no restaurant. The staff is not as multilingual as advertised in these pages, but that's a minor shortcoming.
“Spacious apartments”
Very big rooms, perfect for families or two couples traveling together. Renovated during last few years, very clean. We felt its like living in a Florence apartment. Nice location, 7 minutes walk to the Duomo and Piaza Republica. 1 minute walk to a supermarket, and if you plan to stay here, its important: you'll need to bring your own shampoo, toilet paper, drinks etc. Our room had a full kitchen, but I dont think cooking while in Florence is such a good idea, numerous places to eat well. One problem - availability of the "desk" - not open all hours of the day.
“a little noisy but still good”
The location was excellent and within walking distance to everything important. The apartment itself was spacious, clean, and functional (with a great bathroom and kitchen). The only real problem was the street noise in the mornings. The girl who is there full time was helpful and even found an important document I had left in the office when I registered. Overall, the place worked out well, and I can recommend it. Just bring some ear plugs.
“good stay”
the expectation should be to minimize interaction with staff (friendly) and enjoy firenze. well located and clean. i recommend these apartment for rent if traveling with many people and children. it was pleasant and succesful trip
“Rooms to lose yourself in!”
We stayed in the "Machiavelli Suite" (one bedroom apartment) on the first floor, overlooking the Piazza. Huge rooms with high ceilings and large, well-equipped kitchen. Our daughter slept on the sofa-bed in the lounge but it was very uncomfortable until we put a blanket under the mattress - 2 nights was enough for her! Everything else was fine (particularly at the price paid for 3 adults in fairly central Florence) and it was an ideal location for visiting sights of Florence. Close to Basilica di Sante Croce, markets on Lorenzo Ghiberti, walking distance to a great selection of outdoor restaurants in the Piazza San Pier Maggiore and easy walk to Duomo. Internet worked fine (good enough to Skype) as did air con. Would stay here again.
“Excellent location and good facilities”
Firstly this is not a hotel, but for a young family the self catering spect works very well. They provide basic breakfast ingredients which are topped up daily, but there is also a supermarket just down the road. We found it almost impossible to drive to the hotel what with closed roads, roadworks and no entry signs. It turns out that the hotel is in a pedestrian only zone, but when we did (illegally) manage to drive to it they managed to find us a private parking space and even cancelled the fines we had racked up on the way in! Because the hotel is not staffed overnight, it did get quite noisy at times, and some of the furnishings were a little basic, but adequate for most needs. The best part was the location - as all the historic sites are within easy walking distance. The hotel even provided us with a local map and recommended a restaurant to us (Antico Fattore near Uffizi). This was good but we enjoyed Gusty Leos (near Bargello museum) more.
“Dean”
Good hotel however room had no windows and the air con didn't work well ,room was very hot ,over all good location
“Large suite in old building”
This hotel is in an older building. The superior suite was a large apartment decorated with antiques - we found this fun in the setting of renaissance Florence. Full kitchen, lots of room for a family of four (including 2 teenagers), good air conditioning. Seemed to be short staffed - office hours were very limited. We did not get breakfast the first morning, due to a misunderstanding, but they made up for it the next day. WiFi was not working. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
