“Best accommodation on our trip”
This place was absolutely amazing, best value for money and best accommodation of our Italy trip. We stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment and it was huge, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The beds were very comfy and the shower was amazing. The location was also excellent with all Florence's major sites within easy walking distance. (we had my elderly parents with us and they had no problem getting around). We certainly didn't hear any noise from the streets outside. The staff were very helpful and friendly and really made us feel at home. Breakfast was brought to the room and was substantial, we even had some of it for lunch. The apartments is a great place if you have kids as there was lots of room for them to play and there is a park opposite the accommodation.
“A pleasant surprise!”
For the price I paid, I expected a tiny room; however, I was welcomed to a large room with a kitchen, sitting area, kitchen table, a separate bedroom, and a huge bathroom! The area was very lively and fun. For pre-drinking before hitting a bar, go down the street (to the left) to this big open area where people bring their own drinks and mingle. It is a really fun atmosphere before going to a bar. Since the hotel is located on a pedestrian only street, you will need to walk with your luggage for about 5 mins. Also, to catch a cab, you will need to get the hotel to call one for you. We left on a Sunday when reception was closed so we walked around looking for one for half an hour, finally I went into a shop and got someone to call me a cab. Afterwards, I found out I was only 2 mins away from the taxi terminal located by the big cathedral. Cons: the bed was really uncomfortable for me so I had to sleep on the sofa bed. However, my fiance thought the bed was comfortable.
“central florence”
the biggest advantage of the accomodation was firstly the size. 3 bedrooms and more than enough living space is great when you have a family and don't want to be on top of each other all the time. Next the lcoation is brilliant. Lively and very central. The accomodation itself was as expected but with a definite touch up required in rooms and some applicances not working. Condequently, after more than 3 days you are starting to notice the faults. Also very basic breakfast left which is fine as not expecting anything but we did not use and yet a new allocation was added each day. When we keft it was all piled up unused.
“Rooms to lose yourself in!”
We stayed in the "Machiavelli Suite" (one bedroom apartment) on the first floor, overlooking the Piazza. Huge rooms with high ceilings and large, well-equipped kitchen. Our daughter slept on the sofa-bed in the lounge but it was very uncomfortable until we put a blanket under the mattress - 2 nights was enough for her! Everything else was fine (particularly at the price paid for 3 adults in fairly central Florence) and it was an ideal location for visiting sights of Florence. Close to Basilica di Sante Croce, markets on Lorenzo Ghiberti, walking distance to a great selection of outdoor restaurants in the Piazza San Pier Maggiore and easy walk to Duomo. Internet worked fine (good enough to Skype) as did air con. Would stay here again.
“Dean”
Good hotel however room had no windows and the air con didn't work well ,room was very hot ,over all good location
“Exceeded expectations”
Booked this hotel for Sept 2011 for three people..what a surprise to find that our "room" was a full apartment! It had 3 bedrooms, 2 hugh baths, a living room, dining room and kitchen. The location was perfect. Walking distance to all attractions and "il procopiio" the very best gelato in all of Italy right next door! When in Florence again this will definately our place to stay.
“a little noisy but still good”
The location was excellent and within walking distance to everything important. The apartment itself was spacious, clean, and functional (with a great bathroom and kitchen). The only real problem was the street noise in the mornings. The girl who is there full time was helpful and even found an important document I had left in the office when I registered. Overall, the place worked out well, and I can recommend it. Just bring some ear plugs.
“service is not our middle name!”
When we checked in another guest came to report a clogged sink. the response was that the employee shrugged her shoulders and said, "what do you want me to do?" Later that night another family came to check in, and there were no employees at the hotel to check them in. this is NOT a hotel. it is a group of apartments with no services. the drawers in the kitchen were full of crumbs, our feet were black if we walked barefoot on the floor, and there was mold in the shower. the location was okay, just a few shops away from a grocery store. it's a 20 minute walk from the train. bus c-2 gets you close. it fit the six of us comfortably.
“Large suite in old building”
This hotel is in an older building. The superior suite was a large apartment decorated with antiques - we found this fun in the setting of renaissance Florence. Full kitchen, lots of room for a family of four (including 2 teenagers), good air conditioning. Seemed to be short staffed - office hours were very limited. We did not get breakfast the first morning, due to a misunderstanding, but they made up for it the next day. WiFi was not working. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
“Would certainly recommend”
This was a very spacious two bedroom apartment in a great location. It was a short walk to all the major sites and was a nice comfortable place to come back to at the end of a busy day of sightseeing. Breakfasts were brought to the room each afternoon for the following day and were generous. Internet was an exttra charge and was a little slow.
