“High Class Service”
We were extremely delighted with our stay here and can't wait to go back in the future! The hotel staff was very courteous and exteremely helpful. The weather could have been better but the coldness of the weather was all but made up by the warm staff at the hotel. On one of the nights the restaraunt was closed (they are required legally to close on one day in the week)but the hotel staff ordered us warm nourishments since we were tired and did not want to go hunting for a place to eat. They even made us special breaakfast packages on the morning of checkout since we had to leave for the airport very early. The hotel is immaculately clean and well maintained.Food quality is superb Tuscan! This is indeed a five star hotel! The hotel is ideally situated and within 10-15 minutes of walking to major attractions such as Piazza Novona, Duomo, Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio. The special deal thrugh Expedia made it well worth the stay.
“Beautiful hotel in a beautiful city!”
The Montebello Splendid was a stunning hotel in a fantastic, quiet part of Florence. All of the staff were polite and very attentive. I quickly became accustomed to sitting in the sun having drinks brought to me after a busy day touring the city. It was a shame to have to leave and get back to work. If you do go to Florence you have to go to an amazing restaurant, Il Profeta, that the hotel staff recommended to us. No word of a lie...the food was the best we've ever had!!! The waiter was great, again very attentive without getting in your face too much, and the wine was excellent. If we make it back, we going here for sure!
“Loved this hotel”
Beautiful, comfortable room. The location was perfect - on a very quiet street only a 10 minute walk from everything. While a bit reserved, the staff was helpful. WiFi was only free for 1/2 hour, and the number of devices you can connect is limited which was an issue for us with our multiple iPhones and iPads. Would definitely stay here again.
“February in Florence”
February might not seem the most attractive time of year to visit Florence but it has its advantages. It was cold and cloudy for much of the time which was only to be expected but the odd bright spell did give us a taste of how magical Florence can look in the sunshine. The main reason for our visit was to savour the art and the history. The guidebooks warned of crowds and queues and advised us to book tickets in advance. Therefore we were very pleasantly surprised to find that everywhere was instantly accessible and there was no need to book tickets in advance for even the most popular attractions. Once inside the museums, palaces and galleries we were able to wander freely and spend as much time as we wanted in front of some the most famous masterpieces in the world. This was what we had come for so for us February was fantastic!

“Good value for the euro!”
We had a large and lovely room at this hidden hotel. It was very clean and located near to the train station. The staff made an effort to be helpful and meet our needs! I highly recommend this as a good value!
“Very Elegant!”
Staff was very helpful and the location was great. I little high-priced, but you do get what you pay for. The breakfast buffet, which was included in our Expedia price was delicious! We had a wonderful time!
“An excellent choice.”
A huge, comfortable room with marble bathroom. Very comfort bed. Great buffet for breakfast. A nice breakfast area. No room view.
