“fantastic!”

Me and my wife fully enjoyed our stay at this beautiful and historic building.hotel staff were pleasent and very helpful. It is very close to the main sights of florence and just a short taxi ride from the airport. The hotel was immaculately clean,the food was excellent. We will stay at this hotel again when we return to florence in the future. Highly recommended.

“Beautitful garden and atmospere”

We enjoyed staying at this hotel. It had a very relaxing and beautiful garden. The breakfast was very good and included some very nice items. THe fronet desk was helpful but not overly friendly.

I can't recommend the Monna Lisa highly enough, the staff were friendly and very helpful, our room was spaceous comfortable and quiet, we were overlooking the courtyard so we had a nice view as well. Breakfast was good there was plenty to choose from so you could stock up for the day. It is well placed so you don't have to walk too far to get anywhere. All in all when I go back to Florence (which I definately will) I will most certainly return to the Monna Lisa.

Is not a luxury hotel but it was a great expierence because is like living in an old house of firenze. Everybody is friendly. I hope I wold return again.

This is a great hotel; service is better than expected. What was really nice is that they took care (within minutes) of the reservations to both the Galleria della Academia and the Ufizzi Gallery.

“A trip highlight”

Our room with the balcony overlooking the courtyard gardens was very pleasant. We especially enjoyed the convenience, a 15 min safe walk to the Duomo/25 min to the Uffizi. The buffet breakfast was generous with excellent replenishment of dishes, served in a room we photographed for its beauty.

Other Expedia reviewers mentioned the first room they were given was not suitable. So we were prepared when we were given a very small room with little light. I asked for a room with the garden view and they were very accommodating, saying they would move us the next morning when one became available. They moved all our suitcases for us. The garden views are beautiful. The staff is very friendly and helped us get reservations for museums. We loved the quiet neighborhood, a nice change from the bustling tourists just 1/2 mile away. We highly recommend the hotel for anyone who likes old-fashioned establishments and wants to feel like they are experiencing Renaissance Florence, with all the benefits of modern living.

“Amazing place to stay in Florence”

This hotel was a real highlight of our trip to Florence. The interior decoration was lavish and slightly over the top but it all just adds to the ambience. Some great sitting rooms in which to relax and read the paper while the assortment of Mona Lisa paintings in various guises look down on you. The hotel has an amzing history and you feel it as you walk through the maze of rooms and different areas that make up the property. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and were able to recommend some great restaurants. Overall a wonderful place to stay and we would love to return.
