Ideal economic hotel for tourists and travellers.
Typical 2 star hotel for Florence situated on the first floor with lift. It is rum by a very friendly couple, who are welcoming and able toadies tourists. The hotel is a short work from the main station and easy walk into town, or the river to see the sites. The A/C works well, bathrooms are clean, the rooms simple, but comfortable. There is a wide range of shops and places to eat near-by. I is economic place to stay when passing through and I would certainly use it again.

Good budget place
Good budget place. Within a couple hundred meters of the train station, the area is a little tired, dodgy. Breakfast was nothing special but if you're ok with a couple croissants, yoghurt,and packets of toast and basic corn flakes cereal, then it's fine. Coffee was good. Boxed orange juice was not very good quality. But all the staff were terrific, friendly.

Amazing hidden gem
The service was excellent and efficient. We had everything we needed in a convenient location. Definitely recommend this hotel to anybody going to Florence.

Close to train station but extremely tiny and uncomfortable room. Odd policy of having to leave the key to your room anytime you leave, (granting anyone access to your room as they didn’t even check my name or reservation when I came back and a new person was working the front desk.)

Clean and quaint room
It’s a fairly basic, no-frills hotel room, but if you’re looking for a place to stay that is clean, friendly, and affordable, I would recommend it! The employees were very friendly and accommodating. Only complaint I would have is that we were in one of the “back” rooms and the WiFi didn’t really reach there.

The good - Close to train station - close to must see places - Friendly and Helpful day staff ( night shift staff not so much) - the price The Bad - Bus Stop is right at the entrance blocking the entrance. - Mosquito summer time. ( keep window close )

I was really impressed with this budget hotel. The 2 minute walk to the station made it so easy for me. The staff were amazing, minding my luggage both before and after my stay and always jolly and friendly. The room was basic and there was a little street noise from the buses and street-cleaning machine in the morning but i was comfortable. I wasn't aware breakfast was included so bought my own. The Mercu*e nextdoor probably charges 10 times as much a night!

2 night Stay in Florence
The station is very near the SMNovella Train station and Conad (supermarket) is very near the hotel as well. San Lorenzo Market is also just a walk awat from Hotel Lombardi. The hotel was a little old but Overall it was a great hotel mainly because of its location. Thanks!

I really enjoyed my stay at Lombardi Hotel. Personnel is very friendly and helpful. Room was very cleaned and comfortable. The location is very convenient, close to train station and main attractions.

For the price it's perfect...
I stayed at the Lombardi one night away from my friends as I was doing an excursion and needed to be in the city center very early. For the price, the room was just what I needed. A bed, working television and a bathroom. It was very clean and neat. The bathroom shower is super small. Like, hilariously small but it wasn't a deal breaker for me. Nearby there are tons of options for food and there's a nice supermarket around the corner. The staff was very nice in providing a map and directions for the local area. The Duomo is only a short walk away as is the Uffuzi gallery and shops (if you are into that). As a female traveling alone I also felt very safe. The elevator looks like something out of a horror movie (lol) but it worked perfectly. You have to leave the key at the front desk every time you leave which I thought was weird but I got used to it quickly. All in all I would stay again and recommend to others.

Hated to rate them so low, but I had no choice.
Stayed here 3 nights from Feb 11 2014 onward. The hotel was really close to the train station and located in a area that makes all the sites walkable. The hotel is on the 3rd floor in a building with other hotels.The elevator is freaky but it works OK. The staff appears to be comprised of 3 people. A man and a women during the day and a man at night only as the desk is open 24 hours a day. The hotel is old but clean.There are no frills here!!! The photo's of their hotel are accurate that you see listed on many booking sites You get a clean small room with a hard bed and a TV that is only in Italian, There is a small desk and a very weird,small, but clean bathroom with a shower that is so small its funny. The water pressure and hot water temperature were fine. The major problem here is heat considering the temps hovered around freezing. You do not control the heat from your room.They do from the desk. There is a steam radiator and a wall unit in the room. My first night there I has to walk out to the desk at 3am because our room was freezing.They turned on a wall unit and it was fine.The next night the wall unit was on as I mentioned to them at 8pm that the heat was not on and the night guy did turn it on. The 3rd night around 5pm I told the day guy that our room was again cold and he told me." The heat has been on all day and we can't keep it on all night as we would go bankrupt". The women did offer on the 2nd day to switch our room but that does not turn on the heat

The bed was very hard and uncomfortable, there was nobody there to check us in and you had to walk several blocks to another hotel even though we arrived at the 2pm check in time. Staff were friendly however it was not the best neighbourhood.
