“Great Hotel”
Great value for money on expedia. Lovely bedrooms, comfortable beds & pillows, good powerful shower (although very small!) and great location. Breakfast on the roof terrace is such a bonus. All staff are exceptional. Just book this hotel and don't waste anymore time researching a trillion Rome hotels...
“Over-hyped. Not impressed”
I'm surprised at the reviews for the hotel as it is simply average but for a not-so-average price. The hotel attempts at an elegant antique style but gives an impression of just an old place with old furniture. Breakfast might impress you if you had not tried breakfast at other European hotels. Our room was pretty bad, there was hair on the bed covers, stains on the bed frame from hair grease and other pleasant surprises. The phone did not work, the satellite reception was continuously freezing and the bathroom towels reeked of vinegar. The staff is very nice though and the location is great, but then Florence center is very small in itself so everything is within a close walking distance no matter where you are. I'm disappointed we didn't get any recognition for this being our honeymoon trip and frankly this ended up being the worst hotel throughout our vacation.
“Four Star Hotel”
I booked this hotel on one and a half days notice online. I was very pleasantly suprised. At check in, a bellhop to show you your room. Air conditioning for the bed chamber. Decoration was ornate, with art on the walls. Condition of the room clean, pleasant, but looking dated. Bathroom is updated with classy faucets, everything works well. In the morning, generous breakfast of fruit, cereal, pastries, etc. with coffee made to order. Location is on a very nice street with high-end shops. Front desk people polite and helpful. All in all, a palace fit for a duke.
“Love this hotel”
We recently traveled to Italy for our honeymoon and stayed in four different hotels along the way. This hotel was by far the best. The room was spacious and the view from the outside terrace was amazing. The service was excellent and the location was perfect. We would highly reccommend this hotel.
“Rooftop Terrace makes the vacation!”
This hotel is really special, I cannot wait to visit florence again and stay there. The breakfast is really good, the rooms are spacious and old and have a wonderful ambiance. But the rooftop terrace was what truly made it. Watched the sunset over the roofs of Florence each night with a martini or bellini and what a way to end the day!
“Create villa-like setting”
Tornabuoni Beacci gives you the feel of staying in an original Florentine villa. It has great atmosphere, large rooms including drawing rooms to linger in. The breakfast is excellent, a big spread of choices. The staff is extremely helpful. And it is located near all the major sites.
“Best Hotel in Italy”
The very best hotel Italy has to offer. Wonderful decor and the helpful friendly staff made the trip to Florence a delight for me and my wife. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable and the ammenities are out of this world. Its location is the big cherry on top of it all.
“You're in the heart of the city - bring your earplugs, but this place is delightful!”
I'd read in other reviews that the hotel need a bit of upgrading, and that is true. But, what's needed is minor. Our room was delightful, and the only problem was that the shower leaked onto the floor. Things are worn a bit, but I found it absolutely delightful and would rather have that than see the prices go up. The staff was superb - just made us feel like we were in a B&B. This is not the Ritz - its better because its 'human.' Bring your earplugs: you're in the heart of the busy city!
“Nice Choice in Firenze”
I really like this hotel. It is small but the location is very nice. Excellent price value balance. Cheap minibar, cheap internet. The only problem was my room did not have any plugs suitable for laptop.
“Great location, helpful staff, lovely breakfast--we will be back”
This hotel was wonderful--the location is only ~15 min walk to the train station and only a 10 minute walk to all the other landmarks in Firenze, making it an ideal homebase for us as we explored the city. The staff was very helpful, often making dinner reservations for us and giving us directions. The breakfast in the morning was lovely. Each day we sat on the rooftop deck and had our coffee, fruit, yogurt, and pastries (great selection). The room was spacious, air-conditioned and had a large bath and terrace as well as a safe. We will definitely stay here next time!
