“Very impressed”

An excellent hotel. Helpful friendly staff. Great buffet breakfast with plenty of choice. Very high quality decor with true attention to detail. Would definitely like to stay there again.

hotel is very central to be able to walk to all the tourist attractions .lovely views of the santa maria church.unfortunately for the time we stayed and for the next few months the square of santa maria is being renewed and the building work of drilling and stone cutting from 8 am in the morning until 5 pm

“brilliant hotel”

We both had a wonderful time in Florence excelled by the fact that we were in such a beautiful hotel. From the moment we stepped in we were welcomed with smiles, the staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is beautifully decorated with opulent furnishings, chandeliers,fresh flowers and scented candles. The room was extremely clean and newly decorated. we had a large marble bathroom complete with shower and bath,hairdryer and plug for shaver.the lovely fluffy towels were changed everyday as well as the complementary toiletries. We were upgraded with a view of the santa maria novella church and the piazzia which is nice and quiet and apart from taxis seemed to be a pedestrian area.(no noisy trattorias either) The room was warm and cosy and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice from various breads,pastries,cereals,fresh fruit salad, cheeses,hams as well as bacon and eggs. The service was excellent too and each morning we were warmly greeted and asked whether we wanted tea, coffee ,cappuchino ect. The location of the hotel couldn't have been better, everything is within walking distance and there are lots of places to eat nearby .I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel, if we go back to florence we will definitely stay at this hotel again. We also got a good deal with expedia with the flights included although it is the low season in february.

The hotel was excellent. It is located on a lovely square a short walk from the station and in a traffic free zone. The staff were very helpful and attentive. We had a standard double that was fine - good size, with a great bathroom and a very comfortable (firm) bed. When we go back to Florence we won't stay anywhere else. The hotel is away from the hurly burly but a short (10 minutes max) walk from the Ponte Vecchio and the Duomo. This review can't do the place justice; it was pretty much faultless.

An excellent upmarket, well placed, and whilst a bit expensive, great place for a base so close to the city centre. We liked the room The roof terrace The breakfast The pleasant and helpful staff Be careful if you have difficulty with stairs as some rooms require accessing via about 9 or ten steps. Ask for a room near a lift.

“Faultless”

The Hotel was faultless. Spotlessly clean. Staff were friendly, helpful and spoke perfect English. The breakfast was a bonus. Location fantasitic. The terrace roof area was wonderful.

“Superb!”

I was expecting it to be a good hotel as I had read the reviews. I was not disappointed. The hotel is in immaculate condition and furnished beautifully with fresh flowers in the public areas. No expense seems to have been spared with the furnishings and decoration. I upgraded to a bigger room for a small extra charge and was not disappointed - the room was much larger than average for a city hotel. The only slight disappointments were a room with no view (looking into a well) and a shower (rather than a bath). The hotel was in a great location, looking over the Santa Maria Novella church with all the main attractions no more than 10 minutes walk away. The breakfast was fine with a good choice. The staff were professional and helpful. Everything you would want from a city hotel.

“I Would Return Tomorrow (given half the chance)!”

A wonderful hotel just a stone's throw from the railway station. The room was absolutely lovely and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good too. We were able to leave our bags after we had checked out so we could explore the city some more. There is nothing negative to say. I would go back here again.
