“Just what we wanted”
Right in the middle of the gallery and shopping area. Charming and helpful staff. Couldn't have been better.
“Great location.”
If you are driving to this Hotel make sure you have spot on directions - Tom Tom struggled to get us outside... Once there then valet parking is 28 Euros a day! Hotel was in a perfect location and the reception was well run and friendly. Our room was clean but a bit on the small side with no views at all (I don't know if any rooms could have an outlook because of its position) and the en-suite good, it may pay to upgrade a bit. Breakfast was enjoyable with very good service.
“Great Florence hotel in great location”
I was travelling on my own and this hotel is perfect for solo female travellers. It is right in the heart of Florence, near shopping, the market, cafes, and a short walk from the big sights -- I would stay here again for sure. The staff were all super friendly, the room was excellent, the the breakfast great (chocolate croissants...yum). There is no room service food but that is no worries as there are so many great places to eat, open until late, you won't need room service! It isn't the cheapest place to stay but worth the spend as a treat. I WILL return to Firenze and will stay here again.
“Excellent hotel in a great location”
The Hotel Pierre is an excellent hotel; its location is ideal as it is only a few yards from the Piazza Della Repubblica meaning that all of the sights are in a short walking distance. The staff are friendly, they can arrange tickets for the Uffizi, and it's generally a really good place to stay.
“Recommend it to anyone. Very friendly staff”
Going to Florence with a 10 month old baby could have been a nerve wacking experience but the staff at the hotel pierre made it very enjoyable and relaxing for myself and my wife. When I called to make sure a travel cot was put into our room not only was it there as promised but we also found that we had been moved into a much larger room at no extra cost. There was no kettle in the room for us to boil water for the baby's bottle so the barman filled a container of boiling water for us every day. We were also given lots of advice on things to do and places to go. We would definitely go back to Hotel Pierre. The breakfast was lovely and ample and the cocktails the barman makes are great. Ideally situated, all the main sited were within a few minutes walk.
“Hotel Pierre, Florence 2010”
Just a few words to say we enjoyed our stay at Hotel Pierre immensely. This hotel is well run, clean, very central and the ambiance of the place really complimented a very enjoyable four days in Florence. I wont say anything about places to visit as you probably know what your itinerary will be anyway. If not buy the very good "Florence, complete guide to the city" Which has tours set out for you to walk round with maps and nice pictures. (SKU: AZK-9812347321 ISBN: 9812347321) Take money.. lots! Florence for UK visitors in Euros was quite expensive for eating out, and bars were even more so. However, quite a few cash machines locally and all the shops are geared up for credit and debit cards .. even some of the market stalls (handbag heaven girls!) We took a "money shop temporary Euro credit card pre-loaded with Euros so we bought at UK rates which were much better than the local rates.. when we were there. Flights were OK.. Three flights to get there, two to get home.. but that's the price of flying from Edinburgh on those dates. All went smoothly, but glad for the Ipod and Bill Brysons book "Shakespeare: The World as Stage" ( never been into either but it was a good alternative read ) So enjoy your visit to Florence if you choose this trip!
“Excellent Hotel”
After trawling the internet and scrutinising previous reviews I chose Hotel Pierre for our stay in Florence. We were not disappointed. The staff were lovely, very friendly, polite and helpful. After we checked out, they looked after our bags as our flight home wasn't until evening, and provided towels as we got caught in the rain on the way back to the hotel. Hotel was spotless, everything worked, bed was solid but REALLY comfortable. Bathroom wasn't huge, but shower was superb. There was a hairdryer in the bathroom but it was one of those stretchy hose types and not very powerful. The only mirror was in the bathroom too. There are only about 8 rooms on each floor, so it was very quiet and we rarely saw anyone else except at breakfast. Breakfast was buffet style (7.30 - 10.30am), help yourself to e.g. cereal, yoghurts, fruit, cooked meat, cheese, lovely croissants, bread rolls, scrambled eggs, mini sausages, juice, teas and coffees. The central location was great. There is plenty of walking to be done in Florence so not having to walk miles back to the hotel was a real bonus. I'm a light sleeper and I was worried that it would be noisy at night, being so central. We were on the 5th floor and with the window closed i had no problems sleeping. We would definitely stay at the Hotel Pierre again.
“great place to stay”
Excellent location - central but quiet. large airy room, spotless and kept so throughout our week stay, clean bedding every day. Included breakfast the best we have had in Italy with attentive staff and again in a clean and pleasant dining room.
“Understated quality”
Booked following positive reviews in Expedia. Warm, welcoming staff who were exteremely helpful, offering to open for breakfast 15 minutes early so we could get our 7am taxi on our last morning. Room very tastefully decorated, clean and functional. Although the basic room had a window that only looked into a light well, we did not feel this was a problem as it meant it was very quiet. Superb location for all the main sites which were within very close walking distance. If we visit Florence again we will stay here.
“Most excellent stay.”
Perfect hotel: great location, beautiful settings, excellent staff.
