Fantastic location - only blocks to Duomo & Ufizzi

Posted 20-May-2015
Florence is very walkable but the hotel is very well located; on Piazza Republica and in between the Duomo, Giotto's Tower, etc and the Piazza Signoria with the Ufffizi and Palazzo Vechio. Specific to the hotel, it was excellent for a 3 star hotel. The room was large, and very clean. Our particular room faced the piazza which was great by day as we would see all the goings on, and not so great by night as we could hear all the goings on. A different room (our fault for asking for the room) might have made the difference between 4 and 5 stars. The breakfast service was excellent and bottom line . . . when we go back to Florence, we'll look to stay at this hotel again.

Beautiful location, but beware of obstruction

Posted 15-May-2015
We researched several hotels in Florence before deciding on this hotel and chose it because of the location on the piazza and the view. It cost more than many others, but we thought let's go for it. Unfortunately our room had a scaffolding and canvas cover over the window blocking any view. When I asked for another room, they said none were available. Staff on checkin not particularly helpful to me or another client who checked in just before me. Breakfast staff very friendly and polite though and food was ok. There were hot and cold choices. Loved the location, but put out because of window obstruction and the fact that we paid quite a bit more.

Location, location, location

Pros: Location.
Cons: Somewhat impersonal.
Location: Everything you must see is close by - easy walking distance.
Centrally located, close to all the major Florentine tourist destinations, Duomo, Ponte Vechio, Uffizi, etc. and then there are the big brand designer shops.

Great location for all the tourist sites.

Location: Great
Very comfortable and good value for a family of 5. Lack of hot water was addressed and improved on request, but could have been hotter. Extra blsnkets provided on request as rooms quite cold. Shampoo and body wash not replaced each day after the initial supply. Could not get hot chocolate drinks for our teenagers after 9pm, only tea or coffee available. Overall though I would recommend this hotel due to the great central location and easy walking distance from the train station and to all major attractions. Great restaurants close by.

Hotel Review

Posted 22-Apr-2015
Pros: Rooms were very quiet Staff were extremely helpful and informative The Manager was extremely friendly and informative, breakfast was excellent
Cons: The last day we stayed and the morning of our check out, there was noise and renovation taking place in one of the rooms next to ours. It was 7:30 am
Location: Perfect location and close to everything. All attractions within walking distance.
My wife and I stayed for 2 nights and the room was very quiet and comfortable. The staff at reception were terrific and of special note, the Manager of the hotel was extremely helpful and made the experience at breakfast extremely nice, especially the well made scrambled eggs! The hotel is a perfect central location in the centre of Florence and we would stay here again when we are back in Italy!!
