“Good hotel”

The hotel was nice. The staff very helpful, Martina gave us all the information we needed to go around the city. Location is good, just 10 -15 minutes’ walk of all the attractions. We were happy. The decoration of the room was of different taste. The room was clean, the bathroom was all redone. We had a private balcony. Breakfast was very nice. There is a man called ROBERTO, very charming. The only down side is the pool. It is dated and needs to be fixed. The water was clean. Overall, we LOVED the City, We would go back to this hotel.

“Good hotel slightly out of the way”

This isn't exactly a city-centre hotel. It's just under 10 minutes' walk from the station (Santa Maria Novella). That means that the streets outside are very quiet; including no 5am rubbish collection!! Still, it's within the old walls (if they were still there) and 3 or 4 minutes from Ognissanti. I think the slight quiet more than makes up for this. Breakfast is the usual buffet with some rather nice cakes; but ask for coffee rather than getting it from the machine (or tea). Bathroom was surprising large with a bath - hooray.

“A great, quiet location in Florence”

I was very impressed by the Hotel Kraft. It is located in a quiet neighborhood not far from the Santa Maria Novella train station and within reasonable walking distance of major sites in Florence. The hotel lobby and bar are very attractive. The breakfast is excellent. I had a single room which was quite fine, although the bathroom was a bit cramped. I will be staying at the hotel again in the very near future, and I would recommend it highly.

Area recommendations
There are so many areas in Florence that are of interest and worthy of a visitor's time and attention. The Hotel Kraft is especially convenient if one is attending a performance at the municipal theater, just a few doors down Via Solferino, or (for Americans) if attending services at St. James's Church two blocks away.

“Seasoned European Traveler”

The welcome was very friendly - the rooms spacious, clean and comfortable. The hotel is a bit removed from the main attractions - roughly 15 minute walk - but it was a very enjoyable start and end to our days, and we liked being in a neighborhood rather than a tourist district. A big + was that all the rental car companies have offices a block away, so it was nothing to rent a car for the day to visit Siena and Pisa. Breakfast was fine (ask for them to make your fresh coffee with their espresso machine, instead of the instant machine that all the guests use). The waiters at breakfast were really nice and accommodating. All in all, a great value in an expensive city - we would definitely stay there again!

“Amazing Value!”

I almost always choose hotels in this price range and this was among the best I've been in for the price. The rooms are modern and the beds are extremely comfortable - I like firm beds and normally find hotel beds too soft, these were perfect. The bathroom was also exceptional - spacious, attractive and with a bath, which I found rare at this price. The location is close to the center if you don't mind a bit of a walk, but its that little bit of distance that makes it affordable - a tradeoff I'll take any day. The only downside to this hotel is that the Wifi was an absolute ripoff. In this day and age, free Wifi should be a no-brainer.

“Good hote”

Good hotel to see everything in Florence but it was extremely difficult to find arriving in the early evening by car. We called the hotel twice for directions and had to stop 4 times to ask other hotels etc. Then when we just about to call a taxi to take me and for my husband to follow the hotel we stopped at said it was just around the corner! Valet service for the car parking. Expensive internet Room a reasonable size and hotel was quiet. Plenty of restaurants and shopping avaialble nearby.

When to go
Spring and autumn are good times to go before it is too busy. Make sure you carry the maps they provide as it is easy to wander in circles otherwise.

“I love Italy”

Hotel is convenient for getting into Florence - 10 min walk into town along the Arno. Safe neighbourhood.

Area recommendations
Can recommend the area around the hotel, the American Embassy was one block away and you felt very safe walking around at night.

“If returning to Florence would definitely use same hotel”

The Kraft Hotel is situated in a very pleasant tree lined quiet area and only about 6 minutes from trains and buses and all the main attractions in Florence. We had a beautiful room, very large with a spacious bathroom and quiet. Air conditioning was wonderful as some days it was 40C. Our bedlinen was changed almost every day as was towels. Only one little unimportant point was the queue for your morning drinks at breakfast. You had to use a machine which served for all sorts of coffee and hot water and the toasting machine, unlike anything I have seen before, never worked. Plenty of bacon and scrambled eggs, croissants, ham cheese and various cakes etc. Breakfast was on the 5th floor and you could take it outside on the rooftop to eat if you so wished.

“Fantastic bargain for the in town location”

The only negative that I have to say is that finding the hotel was quite the challenge. Being from the United States, driving was an adventure. In the end, my wife got into a taxi and I followed her to the hotel. Ingenious I know, but necessary, I had no idea where I was and there was no way out. Otherwise everything else was great. Location, pool, and staff were all great.
