“Value for money”
Hotel Giada lived up to our expectations. It was great value for a budget hotel. The location was fantastic to walk to all the sights within 15 minutes, and only 15 minutes walk from the train station. The staff were very helpful and spoke english, the rooms were clean and large, and the breakfast was simple but adequate. Definite value for money, we would stay again next time.
“a perfect location, a perfect trip!”
We are a young couple (19 + 24) who were looking for a nice getaway, and hell we got it! This hotel is just smack bang where you want to be if your looking for some sights and a bit of shopping! The outdoor market is literally on your door step, and shops such as Gucci and Dolce & Gabbana are a 5 minute walk away. Its also surrounded by an array of beautiful buildings and oozes culture and fine dining. The hotel had a luxury huge bed and was cleaned every day when we went out. The bathroom facility in our room was also kept clean and i was really impressed with the whole package really. 100% approved!
“Would recommend staying here”
Hotel was clean and comfortable, what I would expect from a two star hotel. Plus points are its location, very central, only five/ten minutes walk to Dumo and main historical attractionsOnly negative comment I have is that the continental breakfast is mediocre/very limited,if you are not down for breakfast by 930am (breakfast served from 8-10am) there is little food left and staff are not willing to put out additional food
“Excellent location and good value for money!”
We picked this hotel based on the feedback from other travellers on the site. It is the perfect location to explore Florence. The room was very large and bathroom was new. I liked the fact it also had a fridge in the room, along with the TV, air con and hair dryer which for a 2 star hotel is pretty good. Only downside was the breakfast. Very limited selection of food. No proper toast! That said we didn't starve! Would definitley return to this hotel.
“Good value and very central”
A good value hotel that is located right in the centre of Florence. Less than 5 minutes to the Duomo. Les than 10 minutes to the Ponte Vecchio. Not much of an entrance as hotel is located on the 1st floor upward, in the centre of a very busy market area, so lots and lots of street noise in the day, but as long as you're up before 8.00am and not in bed before 8.00pm, I found this no problem at. Good staff. Good breakfast. Good price.
“Great location”
This was a budget break and as such the hotel was of budget standard. However, having said that the room was clean and adequate and in a brilliant location to explore the city. The weather was particularly hot when we were there and the air-conditioning struggled to cope. Having booked without breakfast included we paid to eat a couple of mornings which was convenient if a little unexciting. The other two mornings we had a coffee and croissant at the bar right next door for around the same price. The noise of the market outside didn't cause a problem as our room was at the back of the hotel and all in all I wouldn't have swapped our hotel for the nicer one our friends stayed in just outside the city as in the evenings we ate at one of the many very good restaurants within a short stroll of Hotel Giada and while they had to catch the bus back we merely strolled across the street to bed.
“I would never ever use this hotel.”
I booked this hotel when I was in Florance for a brief city visit. I was very disappointed due to 1. The room did not have access to natural light. 2. The shower was hardly working. I had to wait 15 to 20 minutes for the hot water through the shower. The shower was intermittantly spurting out cold water. 3. There was no electric plug to charge my mobile, shaver, Camera battery etc.. 4. Although, I had booked the room for 3 nights the sheets and towel were never changed. 5. The hotel was in the middle of the busy open market street. 6. There was a funny dusty smelling in the room all the time. The hotel owner could not find out where the smell was coming from. During the night time I had to go out to for a breath of fresh air. 7. There was a old TV in the room. I could hardly see any picutres. 8. The air conditioner hardly worked.
