“Location, location, location”

We couldn't believe the location.... SO close to Il Duomo that we could see the individual tile patterns! Close to fantastic shops, eateries, sights. This hotel was unbelieveably good!!! Staff were friendly, helpful and courteous. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was more than sufficient. It's definitely the place for us to stay when we return.

“Good hotel in good location near main attractions and shopping.”

I don't have any complaints about this hotel. Room was a very nice size with excellent air conditioning (the outside temperature was hot while we were there). We were on the 4th floor facing the Duomo and we had a good view of its dome. Front desk was courteous. Room was clean. Breakfast was ok. If you like the little things such as chocolates on your pillow at night, they did not do this. The hotel is a block from Piazza Repubblica and just a few short blocks to the Duomo. Good location as well as safe since it was well lit and central.

“Calzaiuoli Hotel”

We read previous reviews and when we got to the hotel we were not disappointed, it is a wonderful place to stay, right in the middle of Florence with all the main attractions close by. The hotel staff were all very helpful, and if we ever go back to Florence we will certainly stay here again.

“Ideal Location to explore the city”

As a frequent visitor to Florence for work I chose the Calzaiuoli for it's central position. The hotel provides the ideal base to explore the city and the service provided cannot be faulted. I have no hesitation in recommending the Calzaiuoli to future visitors to Florence and will certainly use it again myself.

“Best Location in Florence”

This is the 3rd time I've stayed here in the past 20 years. The location is the best. The rooms have all been redone. We had a great room with a window facing the main walking street. Soundproofed windows seem like a new addition. Bed was comfortable. The only thing missing was a down pillow. Linens were nice. Staff was helpful and cheerful. TV in italian only. WiFi in bedroom but you had to pay for the time spent. Bathtub was large and clean. hairdryer worked well. Ideal location for your first time in Florence. Breakfast was very good as was the coffee but go have a real italian latte at a cafe standing up if you really want a treat.

“Lovely hotel, best possible location”

This hotel is in the best possible location, in the heart of Florence, with everything on your doorstep. Although it is very noisy outside, once you shut the windows it is really peaceful and the air-conditioning is so good that the room is always at the perfect temperature. We had a standard room and although it was fairly compact there was more than enough room, the bed was king size and it was kept very clean. There were no tea/coffee making facilities alas but plenty of room in the fridge for your own drinks. We also had a great view on to the busy street which was a real bonus! Breakfast was also good without being luxurious - bacon and scrambled eggs, croissants, cereals, fruit juice, etc. - and the coffee was delicious. We found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful. I really couldn't fault this hotel for the price and it was such a treat to be able to pop back into the hotel at any time during the day because it was so conveniently located. I would definitely come back again.

“Great location in Florence”

A pleasant and friendly hotel in a great location. Situated just 100m from the Duomo, main squares and Uffizi Gallery and just 10 minutes walk from the Pitti Palace, Academia and Railway Station. Step out of the hotel door and and into the shops. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. One drawback, if you are a light sleeper suggest that you ask for a room at the back of the hotel where it is quieter. There can be some street noise in front facing rooms until the early hours. We will be returning next time
