Fabulous location

Posted 21-Jul-2014
Pros: Everything!
Cons: Better lighting in the room
Location: Florence Duomo 150m, Piazza Signoria 200m, plenty of shops, cafes, restaurants near by.
The hotel was well located on Via Calzaiuoli, only 150 m from the Duomo, and 200m from Piazza Signoria. The rooms were clean and well appointed, and the breakfast(included in our tariff) was excellent. Our room was very quiet. The air conditioning worked well. My only criticism of the room was that it was a bit dark even when we had all of the lights turned on.

Pros: Its position was great breakfast lovely self service staff very friendly its was our second stay in Florence preferred this hotel to our last.
Cons: A better shower in bathroom is really the only thing wanted
Location: Its close to Piazza Republica and the Basilica easy to walk to both lovely position for going out for stroll in evenings
Great stay booked for 4 nights hotel so easy to get to lovely breakfast great staff everything you could want for a city stay. It was easy to pop back to late afternoon for rest before going off for meal in the evening great shops all around open till late. Great tea and coffee facility in room filled up every day comfy bed lovely sheets. Street noise can be heard but we liked that shutters on windows to keep light out.

Terrible hotel - avoid if you can!

Posted 26-Jun-2014
Pros: The only good thing about this hotel is its location- very close to all the major sites in Florence.
I stayed at this hotel on my recent trip to Florence with my parents. We had two rooms - they put us on the first floor, next to the breakfast room and right outside of the stairs. There is constant noise due to the traffic in and out of the breakfast room and people taking the stairs. The rooms are outdated and the bathrooms are really small. The hotel wi-fi never worked even though they pretend to give you a passcode. I called the staff and the only thing they offered is that they'll "look into it". The TV is small and you cannot watch world cup because the hotel did not subscribe to it.

Nice hotel on a busy street in Florence.

Posted 25-Jun-2014
Pros: Location was nice.
Cons: The key situation needs to be addressed. The key holder includes a tassel.
Location: Florence is pretty tiny, so you're within 5-10 min of all the sights.
The hotel, staff, breakfast, amenities, everything is nice at this location, it's just tiny. It's old fashioned, as in "The Grand Budapest Hotel" old-fashioned. You get to carry your room key around on a rather large keychain, so you don't lose it. You are paying for location because it's right between Pallazo Vecchio and the Duomo. There are many shops on the street, both local and designer shops, which I think adds to the price of the hotel. Also, if you have children, the rooms are small, so you may want to consider getting another room.

Location, Location, Location!

Posted 26-May-2014
Pros: Location
Location: Walk two blocks to Duomo and two blocks in other direction to Palazzo Vecchio.
Great hotel located conveniently between the Duomo and Palazzo Vecchio/Uffizi. Rooms were clean and modern. Spacious by European standard. Small lobby. Pleasant staff. Breakfast included with our hotel rate.

Great Location but noise outside.

Posted 16-Apr-2014
Pros: Location. Breakfast.
Cons: Bar the noise.
Location: 5 minute walk to the Duomo, or to the Uffizzi, or 8 min to Ponte Vecchio. Cross that bridge to Palazzo Pitti / Boboli Gardens. Don't miss Pitti.
There were two great things about our hotel visit. The location is the best--a short walk north to the Duomo, or a short walk down to the Uffizzi. Can't beat the location. The other great thing was the included breakfast, which was sumptuous and delicious, a really great dining experience and a great way to start the day. Unfortunately, in our 2-night stay, our room faced the street. At 5AM one morning a bunch of men were dismantling a furniture store directly across from our window, using sledge hammers to break up furniture. Totally outrageous!! Almost the same the next morning, but at 6AM. Ridiculous. So if you stay there, get an inside room, not facing Via Calzaiuoli. Rating would be a 4 or 5 without the crazy noise.

Great hotel, great location, great staff

Posted 10-Apr-2014 on Hotels.com
We just returned from our wedding anniversary where we stayed at the Hotel Cazaiuoli for 3 nights. The location is in the center of the historic district within 10 minutes walk from most sites. The room was clean and comfortable. We had a beautiful view of the street below. The staff was courteous, professional and helpful. The noise from the street below was loud through most of the night but we had seen previous reviews and expected such. The only consideration to perhaps help with the noise would be choosing a room that did not overlook the street bleow. But, without a doubt I would return next time we are in Florenc.
