“Great Location for getting round all of Florence”
Delighted with this hotel. Absolutely lovely and brilliant value for money. Very clean and grand, really beautiful with lovely period features. Breakfast excellent, huge variery and so much available. You could also take your breakfast up to the the roof terrace and eat in the sun while looking out over the Duomo. Staff very friendly and helpful. I would definitley stay here again. Really great location for walking round all the main attractions and districts. Really convenient to the train station too we just walked in with our bags.
“Walking distance to downtown attractions”
This hotel is located in the heart of the florence attractions, with excellent food, shopping and histortic attractions all within walking distance. Driving to the hotel is extremely difficult, recommend taking a taxi in.
“Great location, great hotel...”
Absolutely gorgeous hotel in a great location, staff were very helpful, breakfast was lovely with lots of choice, and the rooftop terrace has amazing views. The only negative was the street noise.
“Too noisey”
Great hotel, great service, great location, but too noisey. Loud people in the street could be heard past 3:00am.
“highly recommend”
Lovely hotel in a super location. Room was very nice. Excellent breakfast provided each morning. One of the best features...the roof top terrace. So nice to sit and enjoy a nice glass of wine looking at the Duomo and the Florence skyline! Priceless!
“Perfect location”
Hotel was very conveniently located in the center of all major attractions. Staff and service very good. Only negative was the coffee and hot water at breakfast were hardly warm. Room was spotless and clean sheets every other day. Roof-top terrace a must see. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
“Don't know why this is only rated a 3”
This hotel was in the center of all the main tourist attractions. It was lovely, clean, had a great included breakfast buffet, amazing roof top bar with lovely views. The staff was ever so friendly and helpful. When I inquired one evening about a recommendation for an authentic Italian restaurant, a front desk employee, Angela, went above and beyond and walked us to the restaurant and spoke with the manager. It was terrific. I would love to stay here again.
“Great location but wouldn't go back”
Great location within walking distance of all the great monuments and museums in Florence. The room was badly lit, making it difficult for getting ready to go out in the evenings. The bathroom was not what you would expect of a 4 star hotel i.e. very dated. When using the shower the water took ages to drain away which meant you were standing in about 3 inches of water by the time you had finished. There was an excellent view of Florence from the Terrace bar on the 6th floor but the choice of drinks was very limited.
“Charming Hotel, three thumbs up”
We had a lovely time at Firenze, our hotel (Grand Hotel Cavour) was at the perfect location. We could walk back to the hotel after shopping to rest, and then go out again for more shopping wining, cafes and dining. It is literally centrally located... in between Ponte Vecchio (the gold capital of Italy),and their fine leather piazza. The staff was very courteous and generous... they upgraded us to a grand room with a grand chandeleir and a well decorated living room. Three thumbs up ; )
“Great location, ordinary buffet breakfast thiugh”
Great position and nice people but the buffet breakfast needs work, some toast would be a start, even just bread, add some cereals choices and perhaps keep the yoghurt cold rather than warm on the bench. Otherwise, great place and we had a roof top terrace next to our room which was great too
