“Unique Hotel, Excellent Value”

We went off-season (January) and got an amazing deal! The location is perfect -- within walking distance of all of Florence's best attractions. A brochure printed especially for hotel guests gave very helpful recommendations for shopping, dining, and a scenic walk. The rooms are charming and there are various sitting areas, nooks and crannies with artwork at every turn. The staff was generally helpful and spoke good English. The only downside is a below-par continental breakfast, included with the room. Ask if you can skip it and get a discount. Don't miss the view from the rooftop!

“Great Hotel”

Hotel was a fine little establishment within walking distance of all the "biggies" -- Duomo, Galleria, etc. Staff was friendly and helpful and spoke very good English. Breakfast was ample, cappuccino, pastry, fruit, cereal all quite delicious. Housekeeping was excellent, clean clean clean.

“A hidden Gem”

Within walking distance of congress centre and main tourist attractions, this delightful quiet hotel is like a great fishing hole - tell only your best friends about it! Oops why I am I replying to Expedia?

“Great place”

Loved the hotel. Very close to The Academy, and centrally located for other tourist destinations. The front desk staff was extremely helpful.

“The best kept secret”

If you want a faceless modern hotel do not book this one! If you want a clean family run hotel with real feel of Florence and with friendly very helpful staff book it now before someone else does! We read the negatives on this review page and worried if we had made a big mistake for our 4 day stay. I don't know which hotel they were staying at as their comments did not match our excellent experience, disregard them or you will miss out! The bedrooms were clean, breakfast was first class, the lounge area was a cultural experience, the roof garden with it's fluffy white cushions for a quiet time with a glass of wine winding down after a hard day's sightseeing - perfect!

“Excellent value”

The room wasn't large, but was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. The location in the city is excellent, just a few blocks from the duomo and St Maria Novella, the main train station and the Terravision bus stop. The staff were pleasant, and we had no cause for complaint during our 4 night stay. Overall it was excellent value through expedia, and I would both return there myself and recommend it to friends.

“Florence hotel”

Good flavor of the old city. Very nicely decorated with art work and music playing. Near attractions. Good service from employees. Very accomodating. A very nice rooftop garden which would be more usable in summer. Great assistance in finding restaurant and in getting taxi service. Only difficulty was walking up flight of stairs with luggage. Most of the rooms have elevator service. Good price for what we received.

“An ambient hotel”

Hotel Cellai is a great find, near to all of the main attractions of Florence. Its ambience is lovely after the hussle and bussle of the tourist areas - the opera music and candles are really soothing.

“Quiet Gem in Florence”

Hotel Cellai is 3 blocks from the fun of the San Lorenzo street market. It is only 10 minutes walk from the Duomo or from the train station at Santa Maria Novella. The rooms are spotless and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. And the breakfast buffet is good. Because Hotel Cellai is not on a major thoroughfare, it is quiet. It suited us perfectly.

“Wonderful stay”

This hotel was just what I was expecting as an european boutique hotel. We enjoyed exploring the hotel finding a lot of small, nice lounges and a terrace with a beautiful view. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful.
