“Bellissimo!”
I've just returned from a 4 night visit to Firenze! Upon arriving I was advised that there was a problem with the plumbing in my room so they had arranged to send me to another hotel in the city. It was also nice but so near busy streets that the noise kept me awake most of the night. Next night I was back at this hotel. they were very helpful sorting moving me and my baggage around - so that it was convenitent for me and my schedule. The room was a single but still had plenty of space for one and beautiful views from the 3rd floor of the city and the hills behind. I would reccomend booking museum tickets in advance online and watch out for mondays as most attractions are closed. (I ended up missing seeing Bobili Gardens!). I would also reccomend the Chianti one day wine tour it was fabulous and well worth every penny! Can't wait to go back!
“Wonderful hotel and wonderful service”
I would go back to this hotel in a nano-second. We were enthusiastically greeted when we entered the hotel--by the doorman and then by the desk receptionist. Wow! We were also directed to two great restaurants during our stay---well priced and excellent food. We thought the CAROLUS was a great hotel and a great value. Friendly and very helpful service throughout our two days at the hotel.
“The Carolus Hotel is a great place to stay!”
This small hotel has a great staff, wonderful, clean, and well kept rooms, and a great location. I would definitely stay here again!
“Good value”
The hotel has recently been upgraded and it shows. The room was larger than anticipated and the bathroom was modern. Don't be dissuaded by the location. It may look a bit out of the way but it's within comfortable walking distance to all of the attractions.
“Refuge in busy Florence”
Florence was hot, noisy and choked with tourists. The Carolus hotel was a real refuge at the end of the day. It was beautifully decorated, comfortable and clean. The service was gracious and thorough. They were very helpful in organizing activities and helping us to find our way (everyone spoke English, usually quite well). It is conveniently located to the galleries and the train station. A very positive experience.
“Good hotel, Good location”
We were impressed with the helpful staff, the room was clean and toilet and shower were also clean and the towels changed twice a day. The included continental breakfast was excellent with as much as you could eat including pastries, torte, rolls with a selection of meat and cheeses, eggs, coffee and fruit juice. This was even better when considering the prices in local restaurants.
“Good Location, great staff, extremelly friendly”
Extremelly good staff, they were all wonderful Rooms are not that big but that is the case in Europe, all room were very clean Good location, walking distance to all the downtown area a turist area, get ready to walk but it is fun walk
“Conveniently Located”
This hotel is a great deal because it is located to so many great sights. Close enough to walk to the train, the Duomo, David and the Uffizi Gallery, bus station and the market center. The staff is very friendly and helpful and their complimentary breakfast is a great way to start your day. Coffee is amazing. Air conditioned, but make sure the front desk has it turned on because it's controlled by them.
“Exceptional Service”
I was so impressed by this hotel! I had a difficult time sleeping the first night becuase the bed was a little too firm for my taste. My wife was fine. I just mentioned to the first desk clerk that I wanted some more blankets to create more of a cushion. The replaced the entire bed for me! Among all the hotels I have stayed at around the world, I have never been treated so well. The breakfast was the best we had in Italy as well.
“Would go back for sure”
The Carolus Hotel is an excellent city hotel. The service & quality is very good, and it's location makes all of Florence and easy walk. I don't recommend driving there unless you learn the 1-way streets, but it's an easy 10 minute walk to the train station, and cabs are plentiful in Florence. My family enjoyed it very much, and the staff is fantastic, very friendly, very helpful. There are fancier hotels to be sure, but for my family's 3 days in Florence this hotel was perfect. Say Hello to Andre for me.
