Perfect Central Location

Posted 14-Sep-2014
Pros: The central location was superb.
Cons: Tea and coffee facilities available in the bedroom and improvement in the satellite tv reception.
Location: The hotel is a two minute walk from the Duomo and Campanile in one direction and a two minute walk to the Uffizi museum and Piazzo Signoria.
The hotel is in a superb position to see all of the key sights in Florence. We couldn't fault the location at all. Our only criticisms were that the sky tv did not transit a signal for most of our stay (3 nights) and we were unable to watch an English speaking channel. Also, there are no tea and coffee facilities in the room, which was a little disappointing. The bathroom was immaculately clean and the general cleanliness of the bedroom was also very good. Housekeeping came every day and we had towels changed on two occasions.

Perfect location

Hotel Axial is centrally located and the staff is quite helpful and friendly. Compared to other European hotel rooms, ours was a very nice size. Although not terribly "special," the breakfast was a good and convenient way to start the day. We would happily return to Hotel Axial.

Bang in the centre

Posted 11-Jun-2014
Perfect location right next to the Duomo on the main shopping street of the historic centre. Fantastically helpful staff. TV is limited to a few channels and only 2 in English but a good sized room and spotless bathroom. Trade off of location for some street noise but I didnt find that a problem for sleeping. Comfortable bed with plenty of pillows. Very happy with my stay

Nice Hotel in the Heart of the City

Posted 17-May-2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel was in an awesome location. Everything was a short walk away. I stayed here with my girlfriend who loved the artwork spread throughout the hotel. The room was very clean and quiet with shutters that completely shut out the light. The breakfast was good, including pastries, coffee and some other goods and the hotel staff were very friendly/helpful.

Great location, good value

Posted 11-May-2014
Pros: Location, friendly staff
Cons: Maybe a little variety of breakfast menue
Location: The hotel is located in the Duomo area. All major attractions, shops and good restaurant are nearby. We walked everywhere.
We spent 5 nights at the hotel and were quite pleased with the amenities and services. The hotel is located in the Duomo area but the room we had was pretty quiet. There is a nice little courtyard where you can sit and relax after long walks in the city (outside drinks or food are not allowed but it was not a problem with us). The bathroom was quite large (not typical for a European hotel). The satellite had a couple channels in English. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, everybody spoke good English. I emailed them for the directions how to get to the hotel prior to our arrival and they replied with a detailed map. The breakfast was all right but you can have all espresso or cappuccino you want. Again, great location, great friendly staff and a great value.

Ideal location for all major attractions

Posted 13-Apr-2014
Pros: Pretty much everything.
Cons: Tea and coffee making facilities in the room.
Location: The Duomo is 100 metres away, The Uffizi just a 5 minute walk, Ponte Vecchio the same distance. Superbly placed hotel.
Very quiet hotel, excellent staff. The only two drawbacks were that to access the hotel we had to pass through a smelly passageway. I would also like to have had some tea or coffee making facilities in the room. There was an excellent little courtyard and a superb lounge with a couple of computers to access the internet. Wifi was also available at no charge. The staff were, without exception, charming, helpful and most efficient.
