“Location not far from most major visitor sites.”
Very helpful people at reception. Great breakfast area in a nice setting.
“A good inexpensive hotel”
Very clean, within walking distance of main attractions; will definetly stay there again. Breakfast was great, room was the right size and very clean. Missed English channels on TV and shower room is not that big.
“Very good value for money”
Very good value for money, very pleasant staff and good location. Although small my room was very nice but not very sound proof. This did not matter too much and I would definitely go back to this hotel.
“very satisfied”
very central comfortable rooms to a bit cold and a small bathroom were more than made up for by the excellent service that the staff provided. very helpful directions taxis etc no problems. florence is a great town to walk and with a 13 and 9 year old we found the hotel ideal for our needs. good breakfast
“Well worth the price”
Nice place with in waling distance of the sites. Only slight issues were that parking a bit pricey and my particular room's bed backed another room's bathroom and it was a bit loud.
“Arizona Hotel weak link”
We were disturbed every night by traffic and especially by late night loud conversation of people passing the hotel on their way home. On the final morning we left very early to catch our flight and were refused even a cup of coffee by a very officious night porter who could'nt wait to get rid of us, this was in spite of an arrangement made with very helpful day staff the previous afternoon. The day staff assured us coffee and ( if they had been delivered) pastries would be available for our 6.30am departure
“Review of Arizona Hotel in Florence”
The Hotel staff was friendly and nice. The room and bathrooms were clean, however the rooms were not well lighted and were slightly dingy -- made the stay a little uncomfortable. The hallways also had a dingy odor. The location was good on a quiet road. It was very accessible to the major sites such as Santa Croce and the Duomo.
“Good Value and Location”
The Arizona was a good option for us. We wanted something clean, comfortable and convenient. We did not need a "luxury" hotel for our four-night stay while visiting our son, who is studying in Florence. The hotel was quite clean, with obvious refurbishing and updating. Our room was tight, but was a triple-- essentially an extra bed crammed into a room for two. As a double, it would have been plenty large enough. Staff was helpful, friendly. Breakfast was basic continental, but good. Location was very good-- about 800 yards from the Duomo-- easy to walk anywhere in central Florence in 15 minutes. The Arizona represented a very good value in an expensive European city.
“Worst stay during our European Vacation/Holiday”
The room was unkempt, the air conditioning was the weakest we have experienced and the room safe is too small to hold anything. Would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone.
“Paper thin walls”
I greatly enjoyed my trip to Florence, but staying at the Hotel Arizona meant about 5 hours of sleep a night. The problem wasn't with the noise on the streets, but the lack of sound-proofing between the walls. I could hear every toilet flush, every TV, every sneeze not to mention conversations and snoring carrying on in each adjacent room and the room above me. If you're a heavy sleeper or don't mind ear plugs the hotel is an average 3 star. If like me, however, you prefer not to know the private lives and habits of those sleeping around you then this is not the place to stay.
