Convenient location for exploring Florence

Posted 20-May-2015
Located in the middle of everything, not too far from the train station. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast room was convenient, and served nice food & coffee. We found it a good base for 4 days of exploring the surrounding city.

Perfectly located.

Posted 18-May-2015
Pros: Location, cute hotel, lovely staff.
Location: Everything is within a 15 minute walk from the hotel. Most things are only 3-5 minutes away.
Beds are a bit hard, bathroom light went out for a day and a half, the air conditioning didn't work for most of the trip and being in the city center was noisier than expected. But it is an old city, so chances are things aren't always going to work 100% of the time. Location cannot be beat, staff very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

Great location

Posted 06-May-2015
Pros: Location
Cons: WiFi and a few of the staff's attitudes
The hotel location is great but their WiFi did not work in our room like they advertise - we ended up having to go to a piazza down the street to get WiFi. We recommend asking for a room off the street as it can be loud at night. Barbara at the front desk was a pleasure to work with.

A Firenze per il ponte del 1° Maggio 2015

Posted 04-May-2015

A true hidden gem!

Posted 31-Mar-2015
Pros: I liked the peace, the staff and the proximity to all the tourist sites, as I was recovering from pneumonia and found walking long distances difficult
Cons: If it is perfect, don't change anything.
Location: 5 minutes from the Duomo and the bell tower , 10 minutes from the Uffuzi, and 15 minutes from the Ponte Vecchio.
The hotel is tucked into a small square, and is immaculate inside and out. The reception staff are bi-lingual and cannot do enough for you without being pushy. The lift always worked, the bedroom was pristine, the bathroom with shower was well stocked and well lit, and the TV ( though only Italian language programmes ) worked! The breakfast was buffet style, and was more than adequate with cereals, fruit, meats, cheese and various rolls and pastries. The drinks of tea, coffee etc., were from machines. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a peaceful place central to all amenities. P.S. The peace is however shattered for a very short period in the morning when the bells of the Duomo and other nearby churches call the faithful to mass. Earplugs are a useful tool!

Decent stay

Posted 16-Mar-2015
Pros: Rooms were nice set up, comfortable bed and good bathroom.
Cons: Staff politeness and hospitality.
Location: Good location, near Plaza de Republica. Lots of shopping and activities to do.
Employees at the reception area were not very helpful and came up with unexpected charges during my stay after booking through Expedia. The room was comfortable however it was noisy all throughout the night and trash was left in the bathroom from the previous visitors. The staff at this hotel made my stay unpleasant and little upsetting with the way they spoke to me. I would not recommend this hotel to people looking for staff to go out of there way to help you.
