Nice hotel, location great

Posted 16-Aug-2014
Pros: Location and typical Italian hotel, friendly helpful reception staff.
Cons: Maybe slightly better breakfast, often came down at 10 and not always any crossaints left and not replenished.
Location: The duomo is very close by, as is the uffiizo art gallery and main piazza. Plenty of shops, caf├ęs, restaurants and of course Hard Rock Cafe.
Found this quite late and were really pleased, great location near the piazza not far from the duomo, through a little archway typical Italian hotel. Plenty of shops and resturants nearby, the ice cream is wonderful. Would use this hotel again hard to beat location.

Very nice hotel close to everything

Posted 12-Jul-2014
Pros: The location couldn't have been better!
Location: The Duomo, Uffizi and Academia were all within 5 to 15 minutes walk. Piazzale Michaelangelo was a 20 to 30 walk back to the hotel.
Nice small hotel in the heart of Florence. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Unfriendly staff and noisy hotel

Posted 09-Jun-2014
Pros: It had a big room.
Cons: Staff could be more friendlier and happier.
Location: Location was excellent really.
Room was fine only problem was it faced onto the main street and was very very noisy (had to use earplugs), was opposite a church that had a noisy organ that went off every 5 mins from 4pm to 10.30pm. Staff were unfriendly and never saw anyone smile. I stayed 7 nights... too long.

Nice hotel, good staff and excellent breakfast and location. One thing though air con in room only works 1 hr in evening .. Bit strange. Close to centre and shops and restaurants. One indian bargain rest was very nice and very cheap food. If i remember its "welcome to india" on near by road. Nice hotel will recommend.

Clean, efficient hotel in central location

Posted 28-May-2014
This is not a luxury hotel, the rooms had minimal decorations and felt like dormitories. However, the location was fantastic and the rooms were very clean. Breakfast was more than adequate as well. Would stay again!

Close to attractions;quaint but disappointing

Posted 25-May-2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Attitude of staff (except for one young man); keep floors clean. Reduce cost; too expensive compared to the quality of accommodations.
Location: Near Duomo, walking distance from Pitti Palace, excellent shopping and restaurants
This is a 2 star at best. The floor in our room was dirty, as if it hadn't been mopped in some time. Our toilet would flush but water would not stop running. When reported to hotel staff they said they'd report it, but it was 2 days before a young man from the reception desk came up and tried to fix it. We asked to be moved but were told the hotel was completely full. The breakfast was substandard compared to the other hotels we stayed in during our two weeks in Europe.

Nice hotel, great location

Posted 24-May-2014
Cons: Wifi - it's very inconvenient that it's not available in the room.
The hotel is a great location, 2 blocks from the Duomo, also very close to Uffizi gallery. The rooms were nice. They were quite new, I expect they had recently done a renovation because everything was nice and updated. Our room was quite large, escpecially for a European hotel room. Bathroom was good sized as well. The only negatives for us is we were there in May and the weather was in the low 80's but the air conditioning was not on yet so it was quite warm in the room at night. Also, the breakfast was nothing to write home about. But biggest negative was the wifi was only available in the lobby. All in all, the hotel is decent and we would stay there again.

Considering Everything - Good

Everthing was good except the shower check out the room first. Trying to use the shower tub required training in gymnastics.
