“If you like to walk”
This hotel is 2 years old so it's in great condition. The street that the hotel is located on is a new street that is not on maps so I ended up taking a cab even though it was located less than a mile from the train station. The hotel is a 15 -20 minute walk to the city center. Not much is near the hotel. Breakfast was great. Overall I would stay here is you want to be in a quiet part of town and don't mind walking.
“A nice modern hotel.”
The hotel is not too far from the center of Florence (15 min walk). The standard room we stayed in was modern and comfortable.I like the free minibar and and the roof-terrace.
“AC Firenze”
Very nice hotel just outside the busy area of the city.
“OK Hotel”
Quite good hotel with average, comfortable rooms. Helpful staff and a good standard buffet breakfast. In an area being re-developed out of the centre of Florence but comfortably walkable (20 minutes). New theatre complex being built close by which may revitalise the area.
“It was a good stay definately”
We arrived late at night. Reception staff very helpful. Hotel is very clean and nicely furnished giving a tranquil ambience. Room very much above our expectations. The only problem is that rooms have only windows and no balconies. Breakfast with a very limited choice but everything was fresh everyday. Very central although in a quiete are, only 15 minutes walk to the centre. Quite safe parking area for residents' cars. Would stay again at this hotel on our next visit to Florence, and we would definately recommend it to our friends and prospective visitors from Expedia. I would like to comment on the fact that everytime we choose our hotels through Expedia we always have a nice holiday.
“First Time in Florence”
We enjoyed the AC Firenze Marriott during our stay ( 3 Oct 2011 to 7Oct 2011). There was no problem with our late arrival although more detailed map would not have gone amiss. The surrounding area was quiet with a couple of good restaurants close by eg Trattoria Baldini. Room was good and the breakfast was very good except for the coffee which could be improved. Staff were all very effecient and helpful. I would certainly recommend this hotel.
“Florence Business Hotel”
Really neat hotel but a bit of a hike from the major tourist attractions.
“Review- AC Firenze”
Hotel is new and modern, mostly in chrome and glass. Location is at the edge of town outside the ancient walls - it is about a 25 minute walk to the center of town (e.g. Duomo). It is comfortable, with free underground parking. Clientelle is mixed tourist and business. Dining room is very expensive (for dinner) and was basically not used. Hotel street was not in my GPS, and thus was hard to find (it also wasn't on my city map - appears to be a new street). The only problem was the staff, which seemed to be less competent and less friendly than the norm for my trip to Italy. Given that there are very few hotels in Florence with parking, I would stay there again.
“You can do better”
Nice hotel but no more than that. Not in a nice place (from both sides) and not accesable. (one time even had to walk more than a mile to find a taxi. dont count on reception personal or at least recheck them. very nice room's style. PC hotel didn't work al of our staying (I was with my laptop so it was fine for us)
“Don't go there”
The hotel is on the outskirts of Florence, not adjacent to the city center/attractions. The hotel staff didn't respond to our email regarding the directions from the train station until after we departed. Our electronic room key did not work and the hotel staff did not offer to switch our room or apologize for the inconvenience at all. While expedia lists free wifi, it was only available with a fee. The only saving point was the complimentary breakfast. Overall, not a pleasant experience. Would not go back.
