“Good value, modern hotel with friendly helpful staff”

Stayed for 4 nights with 4 friends - the hotel employees were very friendly and helpful sorting out ticket reservations, maps and train times. Had an evening meal in the restaurant - the food was good and the waitress was a delight. The hotel is a bit of a walk into town when you're going there and back twice a day and strolling round the town but at least you get to walk off all the wonderful Italian food and drink! There are plenty of restaurants near by. I'd definitely stay there again. Don't forget to check out the views from the hotel roof.

“Warm Welcome - Friendly Staff”

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the AC Firenze in May 2011. The staff on reception couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. They managed to track down a charger for my mobile phone as I'd forgotten to bring mine with me and booked tickets for the Uffizzi without any fuss or delay. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the mini bar was free and re-stocked on a daily basis. Although, It would have been nice to have the option of tea and coffee in the room as well. The choice of food in the hotel restaurant was rather limited but we discovered quite a few small local restaurants close to the hotel which seemed to be frequented by the locals and were reasonably priced. I would have no hesitation in recommending the AC Firenze to anyone visiting Florence and would definitely stay there again.

“Sharp looking, good service”

Excellent hotel, good parking, stylish comfortable rooms and public areas. Great view of Florence from the roof! 10 minutes walk to the centre of the city.

The hotel is around 20 mins walk . The service was as we expected. The breakfast was really nice.

“Would definitely book there again!”

Although AC Firenze is not in the centre of town it is only about a 15 minute walk from the train station. It looks very new and very upscale. The rooms were lovely and everyone was very friendly at reception. Breakfast was great and they had a free mini bar in the room. They had some soft drinks and plenty of water. The fitness room was very good as well. The only problem we had was with the air con but they gave us a new room and the air con in there was much better.

“Clean and quiet”

A good bargain in an expensive city. Love the free mini-bar and other amenities. Nice and clean. I would go there and to other AC hotels based upon this experience.

“Clean, Comfortable Hotel - 15 to 20 Minutes Walk from Centre”

We stayed at the AC Firenze during the last week in September as a base for sight seeing and found the hotel room very clean and quiet. Our room overlooked a building site across the road although we had no problems with noise what-so-ever. Indeed there is a free minibar with free water and soft drinks. Our room also had TV, AC, bath/shower and whilst not huge, the room was a good size. Breakfast was a range of food from toast, fruit, hams, cheeses, croissants, yoghurt etc. The hotel is about 15 to 20 minutes walk from Santa Maria Novella railway station and you can add another 5 minutes if you decide to walk with cases. It's worth knowing that there is a train station right by the hotel called Porta al Prato (walk out of the station and back on yourself to see the hotel) which has a train once an hour to/from Empoli. The train is quite new, clean and isn't too busy. You can then take a connecting train at Empoli to Pisa. If we'd have known about this then we would have taken this route to the hotel but we took the direct train from Pisa Centrale to Firenze SMN station and walked to the hotel. If you are not upto walking there is also a tram which goes from Porta al Prato to SMN train station. You can then pick up a bus to go further into Florence. OR you can get the electric mini bus on Via Il Prato (the C2 or C3 route) which will take you into the centre (tickets can be bought from most newsagents). Try the restaurant at the end of the road, nice food at reasonable prices.

“Hard to find, but worth it!”

Very neat, clean, modern rooms with airconditioning that really worked. A good view of the city either from hotel window or from a sunroom at the top. Free bottled water both in the exercise room and hotel room. The breakfast was also really nice. Not a bad walk into the city center, and the front desk was very helpful with directions and maps.

“Modern beauty”

This hotel looked like it belonged in a interior design magazine, which was peaceful and relaxing at end of a hard day. Although it was a ten minute walk to the train station, once we knew the way this was not an issue and allowed for a cheaper rate in what can be a very expensive city. It is adjacent to a lovely park, on the Arno. The breakfast buffet was good. The free mini bar was a nice touch, particularly in Italy where you can feel nickeled and dimed. The gym was fine and the views from the roof patio terrific.

“Great Hotel”

The hotel is on the outskirts but well worth it. The staff spoke great English, and were very helpful with directions. We had our camera stolen earlier in Venice and the staff helped us with directions to find an electronics store outside of town. The also were able to buy us tickets to Michalangelo's David. (Which saved us a tremendous amount of time). the view from the roof is amazing and it's too bad we didn't have enough time to take andvantage of the Turkish baths. The breakfast was free and delicious. The room was small and very modern. Had robes, slippers, etc. All the things you would expect from a 4 Star hotel. It's like they say, "You get what you pay for", and after staying at some cheaper places, it was definitly relaxing staying here.
