“Reception service was terrible, unfriendly, couldn't find car park, I still prefer Bastion Hotel”

There was no customer service at all from the receptionist, very very unfriendly, when i just arrived had difficulty trying to find the car park which was poorly signed. And only to find out that there is a parking fee which was never mentioned on the web site. I stayed at Bastion Hotel and Apollo and even though Bastion has 3 star rating, but the whole experience and vibe was so much better at Bastion.

“worth the money - I'd stay there again.”

The room was well appointed and very comfortable. The staff, especially Reception, were friendly and helpful. I had to get from Almere to Zaandam, 40 kilometres away, the same night as I arrived at the hotel, so the Receptionist printed out a list of trains for me and a map of Zaandam city centre with my walking route to the theatre marked, while I went to my room to unpack, shower and change. Only downside was the lack of eating places in the area other than the hotel.
