Just off the A303 we picked this B&B as a convenient stopover to break our journey to Cornwall. We couldn't have made a better choice. A warm greeting, a smart comfortable en suite room and a superb breakfast, meant we had a wonderful stay.
The booking procedure was clear and simple to follow.
We were made very welcome on arrival and given full explanation of procedures.
The staff were very friendly and helpfu.
The breakfast was super.
The room was just what we wanted and had a neat area for a couple of small children to stay as well.
Everything was neat and tidy but you felt at home in the surroundings.
We would definiltely return if in Somerset.
"River Garden is a barn newly converted to B B room"
I feel very lucky to have discovered River Garden B B. When I arrived I was made to feel welcome and was given a very welcome pot of delicious tea and an example of Kims wonderful baking.
The room was just right with doors onto a patio which led to a beautiful garden with the river Cam running along the bottom. Breakfast room was brilliant , again due to the excellent conversion.
"An excellent pub/restaurant with good b&b accom..."
An excellent overnight stay, very dog friendly, in this excellent pub/restaurant.
B&B was superb - our little Yorkshire Terrier was even offered a cold sausage for breakfast!
The room was all that I could have asked for and being on the ground floor it was a bonus when I needed to 'walk the dog'!

We will definitely stay here again. A quiet, spacey setting in a pretty homely home ,exactly what we'd wished for. Bedroom warm, bright, chic - delightful. An amazing 'Niagara Falls' shower - going to get one myself now. I wish I could get my towels as white and fluffy ....... And wow - eggs not only cooked properly but to perfection - all presented beautifully. Our host and hostess were accommodating beyond belief.
CROSSKEYS IS A GREAT PUB WITH VERY GOOD FOOD, FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL STAFF AND BEAUTIFULLY FURNISHED AND DECORATED ROOMS. ONLY ONE COMPLAINT , THE PILLOWS WERE HUGE AND UNCOMFORTABLE BUT THAT IS JUST ONE SMALL NIGGLE AND OVERALL I WOULD THOROUGHLY RECOMMEND ANYONE TO STAY HERE.
"Excellent, quiet location in the heart of Somerset"
The hotel staff was consistently attentive and accommodating. The room were well appointed, the bed comfortable and above all, the room was quiet.
The hotel restaurant was a delightful surprise and the chef remarkable. The cuisine was beautifully prepared with exceptionally well integrated and interesting flavors. The use of local ingredients was creative and the presentation a palette of color. A very well chosen and interesting wine list as well!

Travelled to Yeovil for a family party on Saturday night. The Preston was recommended. Proved to be a good choice for one night stay and convenient to the party venue. Very well maintained local pub with good clean functional bedrooms. Suitably and appropriately priced, we got value for our money.
I called prior to confirm a twin room and this was re-iterated on check in. The proprietor welcomed and checked us in. She was very hospitable and informative. She informed us that there was a private party at the pub and we would not be affected by the noise as we were in the rooms at the back of the pub.
Although, we arrived an hour earlier than check in time, the room was all ready for us.The room was a spacious twin room, spotlessly clean.
Breakfast was plentiful and well presented. The waitress was wonderful. Very polite, chatty, friendly and very helpful. Despite how busy she got, she still was cheerful and polite. The self service element at breakfast is a practical solution but the single waitress was overwhelmed as it seemed like all the guests came down for breakfast just after 9am. We were lucky that we came a little earlier as the waitress could attend to us fully. Sadly as more and more guests arrived, she was struggling to clear dirty tables, replenish coffee, bread, juice, and milk.. Which then defeats the self service! She needed a helper during that 60-90 minute period to clear tables, relay them and replenish stocks... May be something for the owner to note.
