“Heavenly shower!!!”

This hotel was conveniently located to get to the Leonardo Da Vinci airport. It was comfortable, had a good breakfast, and a wonderful large shower with a rain shower head from the ceiling, and an adjustable massage head on the wall. It was so welcome and relaxing after a long day running around Rome! The price of the room was extremely affordable also.

“Good value for your money, culturally historic place.”

La Conchiglia is not the most stunning from the outside and the lobby needs a lot of TLC. However, the rooms are renovated with beautiful modern bathrooms and everything is clean. I stayed over just for one night inbetween two international flights thinking that the hotel is very close to the airport. It is not (about 10 miles). However, they arranged for transportation (10 euro one way) and overall, I was very happy. I found out that the hotel (and the city of Fregene) was a favorite place of Fellini and his crowd. I find it sad that it is all run down today. Overall, it is a good value for your money but do not expect a 5 star hotel.

“Nice roomy hotel much cheaper than staying in Rome”

This hotel is a great choice as an economical alternative to staying in Rome. Plus, you don’t have to drag your luggage onto the trains and through Rome. The room is large with modern European décor and has a neat if unorthodox glass bathroom. The staff is fluent in English and quite willing to assist American guests. It isn’t as close to the airport or the train station as I thought it was, but the hotel offers a shuttle service for 10 Euros per ride, which is quite cheap compared to a taxi at 30 Euros. I can’t comment on the restaurant as I ate in Rome before returning to the hotel, but the free continental breakfast was quite nice.

“If we have the pleasure of returning to Rome - we are staying there”

The hotel is close to the airport. Friendly staff. Beach is nice (clean also). Room was great. Hotel would be good if you had your own vehicle otherwise it is outside of Rome.

“Federico Fellini hotel”

It's a great hotel who wants to stay by the seaside because it's right on the beach. It's kind of far from Rome and underground. You need to take a bus to get to metro (30 minutes by bus). If you want to go to see Rome I wouldn't suggest this hotel if you are planning to spend only couple days in Rome and the rest on the beach I think it's a great location. The staff was amazing and very helpful. They also have a shuttle service from and to airport for 10 EURO. I think they also can give you a ride to the metro station for 10 EURO (bus will cost you 2 and metro ride is 1). The hotel located next to private villas by the sea. The area was private, nice and clean.

“Airport hotel in Residential neighborhood”

The hotel is well maintained in a posh residential neighborhood close to the FCO airport. The staff at the hotel is helpful and speaks English as well :)

“would like to visit again in warmer weather”

I think this would be a better place to visit in warmer weather. Transportation from train was poor!

“Cheap stay near the airport”

Great price for your layover stay, but the hotel has seen better days. Not much to do there, so if you want to go out at night, be prepared for an expensive and long ride to Rome by taxi. The hotel has an airport shuttle arrangement - be sure to call for it on the way fromthe airport and back - it will save you $$ vs. taxi ride.

“Not bad if you know what to expect”

The hotel is not exactly close to the airport, so if the shuttle isn't available to pick you up, make sure you catch the right cab. The Rome cab drivers evidently don't like to and will charge more to drive here. There are supposedly other cabs that drive to Fiumicino. Fortunately the lady at the front desk was extremely helpful and actually paid our cab driver the difference from what it should have cost and what he was asking. It's a nice hotel, but older, with lots of mature vegetation. It's close to the beach with a couple restaurants nearby. Not somewhere I'd want to spend my whole vacation, but not bad for overnight on the way home. The helpful staff really made this stay much better than it might have been.

“Far from central”

This hotel is located very far from central of Rome. It takes around 2hr to get to the central. And, the appearance of hotel seems ruin. But, all hotel staffs is very kind. They arranged shuttle bus toward the airport at very early time.
