“Good Hotel, but poor location for pedestrian”
This was a very nice and comftable Hotel, but be warned its a very long way from the Airport, and the S Bahan Station and nearest pub is a bit of a hike. The courtesty transfer was difficult to get from Airport, I ended up paying for a Taxi, but the Hotel refunded it. In the Morning the Courtesty bus I attemted to get didnt turn up, and the next one was late. The staff at Hotel however were very nice and polite.
“budget stay in vienna”
i chose this hotel on its location, 4km from the airport where you can get the CAT into the city and use the metro to explore, no need for a taxi as there is a shuttle to the hotel, if you can find it. its not signposted that you need to ask at C+K travel, red booth as you exit the airport. the hotel was basic, no phones in room, no AC, but free wifi if you ask at reception. ideal for one night only.
“Inconvenient, Unsafe, and Dirty”
1. I can guarantee nobody had hoovered the carpet in over a month - and certainly not during my stay there. Also the rubbish had never been collected from my room during my visit 2. You lose money and literally HOURS of time in extra travel costs and the infrequency of trains to and from the hotel 3. The "free" airport shuttle is a time wasting hassle -as they make special arrangements for each trip and seemingly would prefer you don't use it to keep their costs down 4. The maid left my room door completely unlocked on one of the days I was away 5. Train runs in only 1/2 hour to 1 hour intervals to and from Vienna 6. The train station is further than the hotel mgt says it is from the hotel. (Easily more than 1.5 miles)which in the rain can either make or break your day. 7. At night it is dangerous to walk from the station as you are walking without pavement with no street lights from above, and drunk teenagers hot rodding through the neighbourhood 8. The return walk is uphill, and might be challenging for some people 9. I was given one twin/single sized duvet for a double bed - when I had paid for a queen
