“Best Hotel in Denarau”

The Westin is the most Authentic Grandmother Hotel in Denarau with the Fijian feeling captured in both the buildings and beautiful grounds. I think this hotel is best suited for adults. Fantastic breakfast. This is my third visit to this hotel and it is my favourite.

“One of the best in Waikiki”

A great location at the end of the Waikiki strip so its a little quiet and not as congested. Across the street from the beach, so you dont have to walk far, and you can pack a breakfast from the many tasty choices of friuts, danishes, hot dishes, Sushi, Miso soup ( I thought that made a great breakfast), and many different Juices and cereals. A very nice pool and lounging area, Hula dancer and Hawaiian guitar. Fabulous dinning and drinking up above the strip overlooking the water.

“Totally enjoyed our experience at the Westin”

We were welcomed by the very friendly concierge upon our arrival, check in was quick, we were taken to our room instantly. The room was very comfortable(loved the heavenly bed), had a fantastic view of the water (approx. 5 meters away) and the palm fringed resort. We could use the restaurants, bars & pools at the Sheraton's and charge any expenses back to our room. The facilities were great, better than what I was hoping for, especially the pools. The staff made us feel at home, nothing was any trouble and always delivered with a big smile. We were very happy with the quality of the food which ranged from casual dining to silver service. We will defiantly be returning to the Westin, already planning our trip for next year.

“had a fantastic time”

The hotel overall was fantastic and had great facilities available. Hotel staff extremely helpful and friendly - always a smile on their face. Fantastic buffet breakfast, comfortable beds, spacious rooms and good kids club/nanny service. My only recommendations would be; - add more meals to the room service as it is very limited. - reduce cost of spa treatments as they are very expensive - even more than what you can get in Sydney. - activites: would recommend hotel organises their own and/or have back-up plans in case tours with Adrenelin are all booked out. PS: you need to be aware that this is a man-made island so dont expect to be snorkeling at the resort.

“Would recommend to others”

Best Starwood Hotel we've stayed in. We normally do not vacation via Resort Hotels since we like to stay amongst the locals. We had two beautiful luxurious days and two nights at the Westin. Employees were extremely helpful and responsive. When our room card wouldn't work and an employee saw we were having problems he insisted on having us wait while he went and corrected the error. We never ate at the hotel as we thought the meals were very overpriced. We were disappointed with the meals at the port as the food was marginal in comparison to the local indian fare we ate while visiting Savusavu. Quite frankly we liked the meals we picked up at the supermarket at the port the best and the coffee shop just outside of the Sheraton. We wish would have tried out the spa services - they looked fabulous. We would recommend this hotel to others as we agreed the beds were heavenly.

“Happy from A-Z - fanatastic holiday”

We were extremely satified with the Westin. Great hotel, extremely friendly staff, well maintained gardens and facilities and good food. The breakfast buffet included even glutenfree bread. The Steakhouse and Zing Restaurant are a bit more expensive as the facilities at the Port. My wife and I need a glutenfree diet and the price for a steak with vegies was almost similar at the hotel and at the port (AUS$28-30). The only difference is the tax surcharge of 17.5% applied in the hotel facilities which makes it a bit more expensive. However, we prefered the atmosphere in the hotel. At the Zing Restaurant you can get good curries for AUS$20 (that includes tax). The prices for food at the Sheraton are more expensive and we did not try it (steak for AUS40+ incl. tax). TRY THE JAPANESE RESTAURANT at the WESTIN. Unfortunately the hotel does not promote it as it is run by a private person. We discovered it the last day and we are happy to get the experience. the quality was great and the prices moderate. We are looking forward to coming back to the Westin!

“Friendly rest and relaxation in luxury”

Can't wait to go back. Staff friendly and very helpful. The site itself is top notch with character. Some of the other hotels are glass and steel and could be anywhere but the Westin gives a taste of Fiji 5 star style.

“Great Hotel”

We arrived fairly late in the evening to the hotel and were processed rapidly though the reception area. The decor of the hotel is just lovely and our room did not let us down - really lovely - two downsides (minor) there were three of us and the room was set up for two so it took a little gentle reminding to get enough glasses, tea cups etc for three and the other thing was the fridge bar - now this is outsourced to an external company (apparanlty) and inspite of many reminders it was never restocked - which was not a big issue for us with regards to the contents but what we were concerned about was being charged for any missing items - the hotel staff were great and had noted it on their computer and had no additional charges from the bar. I plan on taking my husband back - it was LOVELY!

“Lovely Fijian style accomodation”

We enjoyed the Westin very much & the surrounding area of Denaru Island in general. In the row of resorts the Westin stands out as the only one that "looks" Fijian all the others could be anywhere in the world just another concrete building with massive pools. In saying this however it is great to have the variety of restaurants/bars to choose from and they are all excellant. Expensive to eat so need to factor this into your traevl budget. The beaches are not good so if it's snorkling & white sandy beaches you want head for an outer island.
