Hotel was near the beach which was very nice.

Posted 19-May-2015
Pros: Friendly staff, food was very nice - a bit pricey. It was very clean and tidy. No mosquitoes or flies around the resort, very close to the beach.
Cons: Staff to update on recommendations on happy hour cocktails and popular drinks. they should have specials for lunch or dinner.
Location: 5min walk across the road that has a little diary or a 10 min walk to Arts village where they had a little supermarket and nice eatery restaurants.
Overall experience was ok. a bit disappointing that they didn't follow thru on passing messages on and not booking spa appointments appropriately. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating if needed something.

Really good position

Posted 16-May-2015
Pros: Very few things
Cons: Food quality, Restaurant conditions, Cleaning
Location: Many services close to the hotel, like cheap take-away (fortunately) supermarkets etc. Beautiful beaches and mountains.
The hotel is quite old and bad maintenance. The food quality was very bad and expensive. Wi-Fi charges in a 4stars hotel. Often very noisy night private parties.

Good by Fiji standards

Posted 14-May-2015
The hotel is very dated and not very clean. We have had a nest of cockroaches in our room. The people are great tho! I would stay there again as it is Fiji and it is difficult to find any high standard accommodation for that price.

Nice hotel with cheerful staff.

Posted 12-May-2015
Pros: location, food, staff., facilities, activities, garden
Cons: fumigate bed bugs.
Location: near Suva, markets, shopping, fishing, village tours, just 140 kms from Nadi.
An unfortunate incident with bed bugs-need to be vigilant with fumigation.Everything was excellent, location, facilities, food, staff, activities-well-done and keep it up.

Wonderful people, lovely holiday.

Posted 12-May-2015
Pros: The staff were fantastic, we told them we were on our honeymoon and were upgraded and treated like Royalty
Location: The location was a bit far out but had a nice curry house across the road and the village which had a few shops and bars was only a 15 min walk away
We were on our honeymoon and looking for a place to just relax and chill out after all the preparations of the wedding, this was certainly the place to do it. Sadly the weather wasn't the greatest which we were told April may was a good time to go,. I can't fault the hotel , it was amazing and the service fantastic it was a shame it is so far out and about 3 hour drive from Nadi by taxi. If you plan to take this option don't pay anymore than $160 F for your taxi ride!!

Not worth the money, tired old and run down.

Posted 06-May-2015
Pros: Staff, as always in Fiji. So warm and friendly with big smiles.
Cons: Everything except staff. Update, update, update!!!!
Location: Location is good, right on the water. Although not the nicest beach to swim at.
Seriously disappointed. Can't believe they are charging what they are charging per night for the run down rooms. Foyer looked promising on arrival, was nicely presented but it pretty much ends there. Positives for this hotel are - Very friendly and accomodating staff, had a nice lunch and dinner in the restaurant, and that's it. Negatives are - horrible run down rooms, one bed was as hard as a slab of wood and the other had big lumpy bumps all over it like the springs had all popped out (very old beds) no hand towels, remote for the TV didn't work, tatty old sheets, rusty bar fridge, old run down chairs on patio with mouldy and stained cushions. The pool area looked nice from a distance but as we walked around it to have a look we realised just how run down and old it was. Even the day beds around the pool were badly stained, mouldy and nearly all of them were ripped really badly with bits of ripped material blowing in the breeze. Cant believe they have a very good rating on Expedia. Do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else until the new rooms are built. It looks as if they have completely forgotten about the current hotel and are putting all their efforts into the new part being built and letting the old part get badly run down. And that's fine, but their prices should reflect this and be dropped to a level to reflect the run down appearance of their rooms and pool area.

Location is beautiful, it shares the beach & river

Posted 28-Apr-2015
Pros: It's view to the sea and the river and the swimming pool.
Cons: The room services need to upgrade to a more international standard.
Location: A better jetty for the boats and more hut along the beach.
The room was dirty, curtain not hooked up properly and come off loosed. Very poor service to the room, no towels, no face washer, no floor towels. Have to ask for them few times. The kettle wasn't working, the television wasn't working properly as there was no remote, no coffee, tea sugar etc; on the second day, informed the front desk staff and never gave any respond. It was not worth the price (A$182.40) I paid a night. I am very disappointed and not happy with it at all. And that was my experience. Leia

Posted 25-Apr-2015
