“Malcolm”
We attended a wedding in Fiji and stayed in Pacific Harbour to also have a holiday and enjoy the surrounding activities - the Pearl Resort was excellant - both quality and value - good food, a variety of activities available and can be locally organised etc, All ages and honeymoon couples were there. Best hotel and restaurant in region with others visiting to dine. We certainly enjoyed the friendly efficient staff and overall had a great time and would certainly recommend.
“Paradise”
Absolutely loved this place. The pool was awesome, the food was great, the people were soooo friendly and accomodating. i wouldve liked complimantary water each day but the tap water was drinkable. Prices were very reasonable as well. we did some diving with a nearby company, and also some kayaking at the resort. the hotel organises transfers but we got a coach straight from the airport - cheap and convenient. I dont usually return somewhere ive been before but would love to come back here.
“Lovely Resort and Staff”
Service was exceptional - the Fijian people are so happy and helpful! Our room was the Superior Room (twin share) - lovely room with pay tv, safe, two double beds and bathroom with toiletries. My only complaint was there werent enough face washers and when we asked for more they ran out. Resort and surroundings were beautiful. Activites everyday and nice pool to laze by. We played golf as well and the staff there were very helpful as it was our first time! The resort says it has 6 bars - this is a bit of an overstatement as at the golf course the bar was only open weekends and the pool bar closed when the beach bar opened for happy hour. Happy hour is now also only for 1 hour, not 2 as stated online. Breakfast at the restaurant was amazing and the Fijian themed night exceptional. The only downfall of the resort is its location - it is 3 hours away from Nadi airport as the roads are quite rough. The package deals on Expedia offer flights with Virgin into Nadi - it would be more suitable to fly into Suva as it is closer. All in all a nice holiday and I would recommend this resort to friends if they are willing to travel.
“amazing resort for adults only!”
Everything was just pure amazing. Walking into the loby, to your room and then all over the resort everything was just beautiful and well designed. The pool was awesome! I've never seen a pool that had a small swim in cave and the activites people were really nice and just wanted to be your friend. All the staff members said 'BULA' and made you feel like you were at home. The food was great but they have a set menu downstairs at one restaurant, luckly though the upstairs restaurant menu changed every day. I would recommend this hotel to everyone! its beautiful and just really relaxing.
“Definitely 'the Pearl' in more ways than one”
We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of this resort. The Pearl has a fantastic resort feel to it, from the lush tropical surroundings to the fantastic pool with swim-up bar. All the staff were extremely polite and accomodating, and they kept the whole place spotless. Many activities to enjoy at the resort (we had a great kayak trip down the river), with spectacular views of the ocean and neighbouring islands. Good prices for food and drinks, and even better drink prices in happy hour ($6 Australian for a nice Cocktail, $2 for a beer). A short stroll to the Arts Village with lots of shops to browse, and many cafes/resturants. Convenient to the Fiji Zipline (1/2 hour shuttle) which is a must do! The only negative was that it's a 2.5 hour shuttle trip from Nadi airport, though our driver was very friendly and explained lots of local stuff.
“The Pearl is a hidden gem.”
2.5 hours from Nadi Airport may seem a bit of a drag, but it's worth the wait. This is an older hotel, but it's well established, well maintained, the grounds are beautiful, the views are stunning (book ocean view), Pacific Harbour is a lovely little centre perfect as a base for SCUBA (opposite Beqa Island/Lagoon) or for the keen golfer. I give it the highest rating for "value for money". The staff are lovely, the cocktails are great and I'd definately go back. Ground floor rooms are a little darker/tired, but 1st / 2nd floor bring in the light and brighten the whole mood.
“Ww would like to go back”
We really enjoyed our 10 nites at the Pearl. The lovely views over Beqa Island and the sandy beachs and lazy afternoons looking over the river at happy hour. Our ocean view room was spacious and comfortable. The satff were friendly and helpful and the meals were delicious and varied. The resort was a convenient pick up point for our diving and there was an activites desk where details of other activities were readily available. I loved the Pearls close location to the Arts Village, a short walk to shops, cafes and cultural shows. The size of the resort was good as well, not too big so it was possible to become friendly with the staff and other guests. The only improvement could be their own transport from the airport, it would have been easier than arranging to get there by bus or taxi or private car.
“Fantastic Staff but not 4 star resort”
We just spent 8 nights at the pear and had a great holiday we booked this hotel on a great Expedia special of 50% off so for what we paid was pleased with what we got although I do think its woth mentioning that the pearl is listed as a 4 star resort and comparing with where we have stayed before its definatly not 4 star. The meals were also not the best & very small the Fijian night & Buffet was excellent. The stand out at the pearl was the fantastic staff they were amazing and made our holiday great I cant thank them enough they really were all excellent nothing was to hard they were all there to make sure everyone was well looked after. Also the spa at the pearl was the best I have been to. Overall a great holiday
“Will never go there again”
All looked fine on arrival from there it took a down turn. Now I know there is nothing that can be done about the weather so rain for 5 days out of our 7 day stay well you put up with it and get on with you holiday. The room on closer inspection had mould growing in the silicon around the showers glass screen and the shower head and taps where not secured properly this should not be the case when staying at a resort of this calibre. Room was cleaned by a lovely housekeeper you could really tell when it was her day off if you get my drift. When eating at one of the theme nights ( Italian ) I found a piece of plastic in the food that I was chewing on, when inquired about it to the dining room manager she went to ask the chef who said it was a piece of flower, now I dont know about you but I sure know what plastic is especially when its in your mouth. The fishing trip well Ha more like a boat ride to the reef troll around then back to the resort cost $300F per head what a waste of time and effort . Lastly and most importantly of this review is the last 3 days we had No Hot Water yep 3 days of getting excuses from the front desk to the manager then the general manager who offered us a free meal in the Bistro restaurant on the last night of our stay which was an excellent gesture but only to wake up to No Hot Water. 3 days my wife sponge bath her self in the bathroom hand basin , This will never happen again !!!
“Cant wait to go back”
Had an awesome week at the pearl and would highly recomend it to anyone wanting to visit pacfic harbour. Only downside was trying to organise surfing trips but apart from that the hotel is really good value for money. My girlfriend and I will definately be returning for another stay.
