“No worse than the rest...”
After being spoilt in the hotels of Europe and especially in the US, stopping overnight in Fiji was frankly a mistake, and thanks to Air Pacific we ended up staying an extra 34hrs. I had been there a few times before, more than 2 decades ago and it was a fun tourist destination whilst still being a 3rd world country, now it is a toilet. All I can say is never again. The Queens Road between the airport and Nadi town, of which the hotel is halfway along, is worse than some of the fire trails I have mountain biked, the shops are delapidated and the McDonalds looks older than me, and I dont remember it being here last time. The hotel and room was clean, the staff are friendly and helpful, the A/C worked in the room, the poolside deluxe with double beds ended up being a single and a double, outside of that the room was old, though updated. The same went for the hotel next door we stayed in at Air Pacifics leisure the next night. Outside of the that stick with the Intercontinental or Novatel, if you really must go there at all.
“Good staff, bad bed”
The friendly and helpful staff, and convenient airport transfers made our visit pleasant, but were unfortunately let down by the world's most uncomfortable bed which had a completely knackered mattress and had serious roll together issues. We had another stay there and the bed was adequate - perhaps check your room before committing.
“okish”
was ok for a budget place to stay - it has a supermarket next door which is handy. The food is not good at the hotel suggest eating elsewhere. Taxi drivers rip you off.
“Best western needs to review their standards”
When we got there it was early. We should have looked at other rooms; our original room was not ready yet. The toilet leaked on the floor. Ants were real busy going across the bathroom wall. The sheets were clean but the mattresses look soiled. The lobby was clean enough and the staff was helpful.
“Budget Stay”
It is what it is - The food is ordinary and the comfort level is budget. On saying that it is a perfectly acceptable place to stay for a few days - but bears no resemblance to the luxury places down the road in Denarau.
“stay on the islands”
Next door is a take away/ eat in restaurant that does great pizza and chicken dishes, very reasonable. Bus stops out front to Nadi 70c and Latoka $2.85 and tour bus pulls up there. This hotel has apartments so it would be better value to pay more and have better facilities. The shuttle to the airport is handy and a lot of people use it as a transit hotel. Fijian staff very friendly and the gardens and pool were very nice.
“great getaway”
we had an exellent break at the Hexagon Hotel, very clean , friendly service, will be staying there again asap.
“Would not recommend the standard room, but deluxe room was ok.”
I stayed at the Hexagon twice on my recent trip to Fiji, the location was close to nightclubs, supermarkets and some restaurants. The first time I stayed in a deluxe room which was good, but still very small. The second time I booked a standard room which consisted of a double bed, a noisy airconditioner that had to be turned off at night as it was too loud. It had no television, which I was a little annoyed at, as they didnt mention that when I was booking in at the reception desk.
“Wouldn't recommend”
Nadi is quite a battle as it is but make it easy on yourself. Don't stay here! We used Nadi as our hub for our 2 week trip around Fiji. We were booked in for 3 nights at Hexagon at various points of the trip. The first night wasn't good, the second time was shocking so we cancelled the third. We were put up in what could only be described as a jail cell: bars on the windows, flickering fluro light and dirty sheets. I would recommend the Mercure which is just 2 doors down, the same room rate and and comfortably superior in every way that counts. Safe travels
“Dirty!!!”
On arrival first impressions were not good, the hotel lobby looked shabby and dirty. We were given a standard room and as soon as we walked through the door we knew we had a problem. The room was extremely dingy, smelt terrible and was absolutely filthy. Bed sheets were covered in stains, floor was covered in filth and nothing appeared to have been cleaned. We returned to reception and told them the room was not to expected standards. At first the girl at reception offered us an upgrade to a "deluxe" room for an extra charge. I declined and said we still were not happy and wanted a refund. Then very quickly she offered the deluxe room for no extra charge, we were not happy but thought we should at least see what the room was like. The deluxe was only slightly less terrible than the standard room (stains on the bed sheets had been cleverly covered with a throw). We returned to reception, told the girl we were not happy and asked for a refund. She offered us a "Poolside deluxe room", we were confused as the current deluxe room was already next to the pool and declined. We asked for a refund because we were fed up and just wanted to find somewhere else to stay. We had to call expedia to arrange this as the hotel were not willing to authorise it. During the process we witnessed 2 other couples repeat the same process of being assigned a standard room then complain, then be offered an upgrade to deluxe at extra cost.
