Knock hill visit
I found that the property was in need of some major TLC paint peeling off the ceiling mould in the shower marks on the quilt I was informed that there was no breakfast with my room and not offered when booking in and not near any amenities

We do not serve breakfast anymore and if we did it has always been an extra . Not sure why you thought it was free . We say we do not serve breakfast at the hotel . Locally you Can buy takeaways bring back as a free option . Sorry re your disappointment

Complete overhaul needed
Clean towels and bedding and a comfy bed are the positives, disgusting black mould in the shower definitely a negative. The hotel needs a complete overhaul

Got to the hotel, self check-in which was fine. Walked along the corridor, through a door down some stairs, holes in the walls, along a corridor, opened the door & the stech of urine was absolutely disgusting. Picked bags back up & walked out.

Looks better on website Didnt like nobody at reception Room small bathroom very small To boil kettle had to be a bit of a contorsionist as electric cord not long enough to reach shelf

Will never book again
Was booked for staff but on entering the room they reported the very poor state of cleanliness and even reported what appeared to be blood stains on the mattress No alternative room was available so they left and found another hotel

Good basic accommodation at a reasonable price. Decor is a little dated and shower could do with regrouting but nothing horrendous. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Great chippy just up the road and 10 mins stroll from thd harbour.

The hotel is good value for price and it’s a nice little hotel in a quiet area the hotel was clean and the the service was good so I’m glad I booked it.

Winter night stay
It’s a Great location with very kind and helpful reception staff however the room was cold and the central heating did not switch on until about 8pm. The reception staff were unable to override this but leant me a small fan heater. I didn’t use the shower in the en suite as that room remained cold even when the central heating finally switched on. Having said that, the bed was very comfortable and the dining room is gorgeous with Rennie MacIntosh style windows.

I didn’t like it, it smells bad, the carpet is very old, staff not friendly. I stayed for 6 hours sleep before a flight but not worth it the price
