Booked hotel for one night stay over in Santa Barbara. Great Hotel. Service was great. Staff was courteous, very helpful, and all had a great attitude. Room was awesome, real old style. Very comfortable. Hotel is right on State Street downtown which is walking distance to all the main shopping and restaurants. Highly recommend this hotel if you want to stay downtown.
We were weary about the category "hostel" of this hotel - my husband and I were traveling together for a weekend getaway and were not really looking for a hostel-type experience, but we were blown away by this cute ho(s)tel. The facilities are brand new - impeccable design (every corner is Instagram worthy, for those who care, I happen to). We had a nice private king room - corner of the hotel so it was relatively quiet. Would definitely recommend staying on the second floor if you're looking for a little less noise. I think the best part about this place (besides the decor) is the location. PERFECT spot for walking everywhere - few minutes from shops/restaurants on State, few minutes from the beach, right outside the urban wine trail. Just a great experience, overall. We'll definitely be back.
We very much enjoyed our stay here & would certainly return. Our apartment was well furnished & very clean, near the town centre, close to State Street. The hotel was in a quiet road with off street parking. Pleasant accommodation & helpful staff. Lovely gardens to sit in & we liked the breakfast brought to our room!

This Craftsman and Victorian style bed and breakfast is 0.5 mile from the downtown area; West Beach is less than 2 miles …More
"Clean, Hip, Efficient, Friendly and Great Location"
The location of this "Hip" boutique hotel was perfect, located on State Street, 2 blocks from Stern's Wharf & beach, walking distance to Santa Barbara's finest shopping and restaurants. The staff was exceptional and the bedding superb. We brought our bikes up via AMTRAK from San Diego literally walked them a block from the train station to our hotel. Santa Barbara is a beautiful place to ride your bike and at the end of your ride enjoy a fabulous meal with a couple of cocktails.
Convenient location just off the 101 in beautiful Santa Barbara CA.
Well appointed room with a separate living room and full kitchen.
Complimentary wine and cheese in the early evening and cookies and milk available after you have your dinner.
Nice breakfast with assorted croissants, pastries, english muffins etc...Fresh coffees/teas and hard boiled eggs too.
Another nice treat is that they offer complimentary DVD's just across the street at one of their Sister Properties.
Great restaurants and shopping nearby on States Street and walking distance to the beach and Pier.
The staff were all exceptional! Special thanks to Peter, William and Carol!
Would stay here again!
Arrived early and luckily room was ready so we checked in. Girlfriend loved the room upon walking in, which is rare. Hotel is easy walking distance to beach, restaurants, and shops. They also have bicycles available to use free of charge on a first come first serve basis. We snagged a couple of bikes and rode along the 'Coastal Route' path. On the ride back, we stopped at the zoo for a couple of hours without worrying about the bikes since the hotel provided a lock.
Each morning, complementary breakfast is served in the dining room. It is different every day and very good!
We stayed on the first floor and could hear the footsteps of the folks in the room above. The sheets were super smooth and soft, but the bed was a little creaky.
Overall, the positives outweigh the negatives and we would definitely go back.
We stayed here during our friends Wedding Weekend. We loved it! We had a 3 month old baby and they allowed us late check in since we wanted to drive from San Diego to Santa Barbara when he would be sleeping. The room was clean and had an old world charm. We felt like we were in Europe and it was a nice change from the run of the mill hotels that all look the same. This place has character!! It was in a GREAT location a block away from the beach and walking distance to state street, yoga studios, Bakcyard Bowls (the BEST Acai Bowls in CA). There was a free breakfast every morning and happy hour every night with free wine. The pool area is beautiful and the lobby felt like a living room with an inviting fireplace and comfy couches. They have a huge book with all the menus of all the SB restaurants in the area so you can check out new places to eat before you walk or drive all the way there. The staff was pleasant and informative and very accommodating. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!
